@_doublearrow@cranium84 I’m sorry to say but you are wrong. I was the Depot Manager at Willesden in BR days and 90003 gained white ringed buffers. It was always a sign of pride in the fleet. And I’ve encouraged it everywhere I went including Neville Hill, including all my 08’s.
@NeilBennett29@railnigel And that’s why a follow on order for another 4 Dellner fitted Class 57’s was authorised to have a fleet of 16 to support the WC. I know, I was there part of the team to make this happen & had the privilege of naming 57316 FAB 1 with the boss of Brush. We’ve all got lazy though 😤

@Peter_Mugridge@DevonJ58@SRichardBowker@railnigel Totally agree, & more concerning for me is the lack of access to DEP’s, lineside emergency phones & other egress areas. The foliage damaging under frame & bodysides of vehicles is relentless. Worst still is the water flows following roots of all these in bridge structures. Scary!
Over 2 days we’ve travelled with @LNER and @TPExpressTrains on a return weekend journey and everything was just spot on. Trains on time, all spotless, exemplary customer service, both on board and at stations, revenue protection, working air con and WiFi. Only way to travel! 👏🏻
