Lower the taxes period—not just on tips. New York already has some of the highest taxes in the entire country: top income tax rates up to 10.9%, sky-high property taxes (often 4th or worse nationally), and an overall state/local tax burden that's routinely ranked 2nd or dead last/worst for taxpayers. We pay through the nose—thousands more per household than the national average—and what do we have to show for it? Crumbling roads full of potholes that wreck cars, failing bridges, subpar services in many areas, high crime driving people out, and endless waste while hardworking folks like waitresses Emily scrape by.

Emily and every tipped worker busts their ass for every dollar—they deserve to keep way more of it, not just a tiny carve-out while the rest gets crushed by Albany's tax machine. No more half-measures from the same old crowd that's bled this state dry.
