A fair justice system holds people accountable while also creating pathways for a second chance. Everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities. We fight for policies that balance accountability, fairness, and hope. ⚖️
Oklahoma offers those on supervised parole the chance to earn a shorter term as a result of JAN-supported HB 4369 (2022). With support from leaders like Gov. Stitt, we're making strides toward creating better correctional outcomes by incentivizing rehabilitation & public safety.
BIG WIN in New Mexico: SB 375 is now law! 🤩This JAN-supported bill ends parole supervision fees statewide—a big step in reducing barriers for returning citizens. We're proud to support reforms that expand opportunity, reduce recidivism, and build a fairer, more effective system.
Minnesota’s drug-free zone laws have been unfairly and inconsistently applied to get tougher sentences for low level offenses. A new bill reduces the size of these zones. @MNReformer covered this issue & features our own Jenny Catchings ⬇️
