Ok, so I may have made a concept character for the game I'm working on called Mr. Sliced Bread.... Good thing I'm not in charge of naming a human, or actual kinds of bread for that matter.

WHAT WOULD YOU RATHER PLAY?
A) You are a baker protecting your Lunch from wave after wave of bread crazed ducks at the park?
B) You are a Farmer collecting eggs from waves of pissed of chickens on a farm?

Fellow sound designers. Or, just sound designers in general. Is this too much for the beginning of a reel for linear sound design?? Any feedback is appreciated :)
@avamusicgroup thats defiantly what i was going for. was going to move into some weapon sounds next, but maybe to give it a bit of a rest something more atmospheric
@kalzonee i was going for different, but also watchable. got to try and strike a balance for it to be accessible and also different. i guess having 2/3 second long clips doesn't really showcase my ability to build a world, more so just to be able to make a few sounds
@RiotKDan there are defiantly 2/3 clips in here i think stand out as better than the others. Only reason i had them in there currently was to beef it out. But if i took out a couple of games, just had 10 seconds of intensity then moved into a longer clips would that work more for pacing?
@TornadoTwins So giving too much sonic energy to an already busy visual is detracting from the viewing experience on that strobe section? This is all really awesome advice, thank you so much!
@sonicbarber The general feedback i get seems to be that clips don't have enough time to sit with the viewer before moving. I am going for an attention grab style to try and stick out with my reel. if the clips were a couple of seconds longer maybe it would make more sense contextually? ๐ค
@Jeremy_s_Bloom as a trumpet player i should have thought about it more musically ๐ good idea though. so maybe lowering the intensity for 10- 20 seconds between faster edits to give the viewer a bit of a rest?
@matthewflorianz Maybe starting off with 5-10 seconds of the quicker cuts that work on their own.
in terms of story i was going for a progression of technology (vehicles to machines to robots). I guess i need to work on it more if it needs explaining ๐ cheers for the feedback man!
