My first Valentine's Day comic is still my most popular, but did you know the saga continues?? Presenting the complete #StValentine struggle to date, finally on one page! https://t.co/L6sFJxC9xC
@LeahLibresco Makes me wonder about the connection between the stats showing fewer couples having kids and the more general fall-off in social cohesion/community/etc
@LeahLibresco My wife @karaeschbach and I have been consistently surprised at how gracious/accommodating people are re our daughter in public places. Probably helps that she has a very sweet disposition but even still, feels like a secret code to an alternate universe of solidarity
@LeahLibresco Had a very similar experience a few weeks ago! Doing a solo dad journey on @Amtrak from DC to NYC and literally entrusted our 1yo daughter to the stranger next to me while I scrambled in the clogged aisle to get her car seat put away
@hannonregular Also, I found out recently that Awkwafina was supposed to play the daughter and man, I wish she hadโher movie persona feels a bit one-note to me but sheโs likable, whereas Stephanie Hsu just came off as a whiny teenager
@hannonregular Honestly you could make a solid case for best screenplay or best directorโthe fact that something so completely wild works so well really is pretty amazingโbut THE best movie that came out in the entire year? Just ridiculous
@hannonregular Surprised to see EEAAO on hereโKara and I watched it a few weeks ago, and itโs a very creative entertaining ride, but the ultimate existential message made it all feel pretty hollow. We liked it but couldnโt believe it was nominated for BP
