High level scrabble can be an exercise in magical thinking. After oppo’s JURIDIC I trailed by 75 with no blank remaining and limited space on the board. But I came up with AUGER holding S, and he was forced to block. Then I bingoed, drew the other S and he drew the Q! 482-446 win

My great day meant that I got to play former world champion Wellington Jighere of Nigeria! I played one of my favorite plays ever, DESPERADO from the DE when there was no other bingo available (besides HEADROPES, another 9 that I was less sure of). But lost 391-528.

I’m back on the scrabbling trail! Just played a beautiful game against Paula Castaneda, a Bay Area stalwart. I had a rack of AEIIOT? (too many vowels!), she attempted to block with FRAIL, but this was just what I needed for the 90-point non-bingo of TRIFORIA!

He got a strong tow from TSU, reaching 361km/h under DRS: the engine reached 12937rpm in 8th gear, then exploded! (Speed dropping, no power afterwards)

The gear ratios are fixed for all tracks: Alpine's last gear is short, and the engine couldn't resist the resulting high rpm (and the hot air from TSU's car didn't help either)

It’s a shame that a lot of people who got into poker within the last 10 years probably have no idea who Annette is. She was the #1 ranked tournament player online for years before she turned 18 and was able to play live poker in Europe.

The day before her 19th birthday she won the first ever World Series of Poker Europe main event for 2 million USD.

She also once won a tournament online playing blind (not looking at a single card she was dealt) Just an all time fucking legend
