“And what about our sins? Slavery was the original sin, and I won’t sand it down. The founders knew it. Jefferson knew it, and he owned slaves — the hypocrisy was staring right at them, and they kept kicking the can down the road. But here is what a poisoned telling of our history leaves out: the New England colonies began rejecting slavery before England itself did. And when the reckoning finally came, hundreds of thousands of men died on battlefields to make other men free. “As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,” read the original lyrics of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. That’s propitiation. One man suffers so others go free. A nation that will bleed that much to right its own wrong is not an evil nation. It is a great one, straining toward becoming a more perfect one. We had a black president. We had a black vice president. Our Secretary of State is the son of Cuban refugees. Anyone telling you the story that nothing here ever gets better is selling you something.”

@SteveDeaceShow I’d add, that it stops other feel good films that families can watch from being made. And it hurts blue collar workers who depend on these movies being made for their livelihoods. Too many on the right are just as soft as the left.
@SteveDeaceShow I think these boycotts by our side are dumb. If the movie is woke, then ok, don’t see it. But it’s a decent action flick. I liked it. I expect lefties to be lefties. I don’t care about her politics. Can she act? She can. To boycott bc she said something we don’t like is silly.
@EndWokeness It was a good flick. I expect actors to be lefty. As long as they make decent films, I don’t care about their politics. I skip the “preachy” films that try to get people to their POV, but if the movie is good, who cares about the actors’ politics? I liked it.
@RonDeSantis Our best president. I was already a fan of yours, and on Team DeSantis, but in the debate when you said he was your favorite president, I knew I had chosen correctly.
@sarahtexe We should have never had a department of education. It’s not in the constitution. Everything it’s done can and should be done by the states. It’s called reserved powers. Tenth amendment.
@votetimscott Then you haven’t listened to the American people. I’m sure this is a great idea. But it’s not more important than the SAVE America Act. GET IT DONE!
@DschlopesIsBack Notice they are filming her shooting but not hitting. Because she can’t hit anything more than 1 foot from the goal. It’s layups or bricks. Lol.
