WR Jalen Jones had 1,100 yards receiving at Alabama State last year. In the off season I was sent his tape from his HS coach, "Rico can you assess his talent and give him a grade."
I gave him an FCS grade and recommended a better FCS team for his final year.
The next week he signed to Texas Tech...
I remember thinking...what do they see? I don't see a P4 player in the slightest. This is a terrible move.
Week 9 and the young man has 4 receptions for 26 yards.
I was correct, don't chase money and let an agent set you up for a terrible final season of college football. Go where you can get on the field (have an impact, get film) and enjoy your college football experience.

Through the combined efforts of the @NCHouseDems caucus, we are in a strong position heading into Election Day. I am confident that North Carolina voters are ready to send a lot of new Democrats to Raleigh next year and bring real change to the #NCGA.

🚨 NC EARLY VOTING: DAY 13 (10.28.26)
Nearly 2 MILLION votes in.
Republicans are steadily recovering registration share. But the Democratic raw-ballot advantage just crossed 300,000, and is now larger than the FINAL early-voting gaps of 2018 and 2022.
The numbers 👇🧵 #ncpol
“North Carolina is one of only a handful of gerrymanders that truly attempt to win the maximum number of seats… And of the states that go as far as North Carolina, no state is as big or as competitive.”
North Carolina is NYT’s 4th most gerrymandered state.

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red.
Let’s break that down.
Can Nicki Minaj vote? No.
She’s not a U.S. citizen.
Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender.
Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault.
She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

Good morning.
With #ElectionDay less than 10 days away, voters deserve the unedited, unfiltered truth about what Americans like them want and need.
Unfortunately, that’s not what they’re getting.
It’s a privilege to be involved in our democracy, and that privilege should be taken seriously.
However, too many news sites (like the one I’ve quoted below) are misusing and abusing that privilege to mislead or even actively misinform the public at the very moment we need honesty and accuracy the most.
The political right is trying to discredit polling just because they don’t like what the results show. The political left doesn’t accept the fact that most Americans want significant change, just not the changes they’re proposing.
There is some truth on both sides.
And that’s the point.
We have lost our ability to see, listen, and respect viewpoints that aren’t our own. We are too quick to dismiss and condemn, and too slow to embrace and empathize.
So, to correct the record that social media has distorted beyond all recognition:
Trump voters are less likely to participate in polls than Democrats… But that doesn’t fully account for the dramatic swing towards Democratic candidates in the upcoming midterm elections.
To be clear, voters are upset with the lack of affordability, the ongoing military engagement with Iran, and a feeling of being ignored and forgotten by the policy people in Washington.
In other words, Americans are mad at everyone.
But since Republicans are in charge, they will absorb the brunt of the public anger just like Democrats did in 2024. That’s what really happening across the country, and to ignore it is to ignore reality.
There is most certainly a ‘blue wave’ coming, but I don’t think it will be as wide and deep as the ‘tsunami’ that many blue partisans are declaring.
President Trump still has incredibly passionate supporters across the country, but not as many or as passionate as they once were.
There is something for everyone to criticize. There is something for everyone to embrace.
And once again, that’s the point.
Let us build a democracy where everyone is heard and respected, and the highest value is the truth.
If we continue down our current path, the consequences will be an American society unable to unify and an American people unable to see a better future for themselves and their children.
North Carolina Early Voting Update, October 25th:
Democrats continue to dominate early voting, with a particular strength among low-propensity voters.
The geographic distribution here could have big implications for Congress and the state legislature.

Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize.
The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets.
While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks.
Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.
It is going to look really bad for the @FBIDirectorKash when my book comes out since the proof about their own failing is in their own documents - it would be smart for FBI to do an investigation NOW and not have me be the one that has to clean them up. I will help them now -but they need to agree to discipline the agents who failed so horribly and retrain them.
Starlink in Ukraine was restored after House and Senate Republicans notified the White House they would block confirmation of any Trump nominee unless it was restored. The blockage was becoming a campaign issue for vulnerable members.
