Every single time I read the IDF’s own statements about “eliminating” a “terrorist throwing stones”—referring to a child facing armed, armored soldiers—I gasp. I can never get used to the fact that this is their PR-approved message.
Do people understand how insane this is?
The Israelis are invading a sovereign country, making hundreds of thousands of people homeless, destroying their homes and neighborhoods, and saying they cannot return until Israelis feel safe.
What about Lebanese safety and the right to live on their land without a psychotic aggressor turning everything into an apocalyptic moonscape?
@CIJAinfo Putting the antisemetism cart before the horse, again. This statement could have easily been written as "we're concerned about X and have asked for more details," but it seems that CIJA would rather cast its accusations clumsily and hope they stick.
"if recognizing the Trump admin as a nest of pathological liars doesn’t require abandoning every ideal one holds about America, then acknowledging that Israeli officials lie...is something anyone can do, whether they identify as a Zionist, an anti-Zionist, or anything in between"
A key to understanding Israel is understanding that its officials lie about everything. Not occasionally, not strategically, but routinely, and often absurdly. They lie as a matter of course: https://t.co/XIz51kjeqt
@BobbySignal@realJ_Mitchell@joansview@JBradshaw01@PaulCalandra Federally run school? In Ontario?
The NAA sets out the 'official' En and Fr translations, and the musical score, and puts them in the public domain. That's all it does. That's what reading the plain language of the act yields.
@BobbySignal@realJ_Mitchell@joansview@JBradshaw01@PaulCalandra Unclear what "places where the law can be enforced" means. There's no enforcement/offence r/t the NAA.The Ontario Education Act only states that schools must allow the anthem in En/Fr, but it doesn’t preclude other versions. No violation to be found or enforced.
@realJ_Mitchell@joansview@JBradshaw01@PaulCalandra@earlhaigss@gregbradyx The interview compares the Lord's Prayer and the Arabic version of the NA, as if the latter is strictly religious. As if Arabic cannot be spoken in schools. Weird.
The 'sermon' also is purported to have said that Islam is the fastest growing religion in Canada. Is that bad?
