People who are concerned that their country may be descending into dictatorship (or into any other evil) ought to give a lot of thought to what it is about their country *in its present state* that differentiates it from dictatorship, and about how to maintain and grow those aspects of the country.
In honor of my guitar hero, Eddie Van Halen: An innovative and inspiring musical genius and a fearless guitarist who clearly did what he loved -- and he did it his way. It's sad to know the world will never get him back. https://t.co/1NxK9QIdBe
@donswriting Eliminate or minimize the impact of external factors to the extent possible. You should have control of the intensity, direction, distribution & color temp of your light sources. There are many good options on the market for most budgets. (Lighting is part of a course I teach.)
One major dynamic of fascism's rise to power in the 20th century was that it was seen as the only alternative to communism

Dear @GavinNewsom, your policy of *indefinite universal isolation* for all Californians is an immoral and un-American response to COVID-19. It will do incalculable permanent damage to the lives and health of millions of us. Here's why.
Journalists, take heed. This shows you can write about "climate change" without being a catastrophist. Kudos and thanks to the author for rejecting the dishonest tactics of so many of his peers.

Bernie Sanders and @AOC call America’s income inequality “immoral.” They say it hurts the weak and the poor. But @YaronBrook of @AynRandInst points out: “the weak and poor under capitalism have done better than in ANY other system.”
