Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko Resigns Amid Major Government Reshuffle
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has resigned after approximately one year in office, as part of a significant government shake-up announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday.
In a statement, Zelenskyy described the move as necessary because Ukraine is "changing its political strategy." He emphasized the need to place experienced leaders in key positions, with a particular focus on foreign policy and international relations.
Zelenskyy said he had offered Svyrydenko a new, important role leading relations with one of Ukraine's key international partners. The president thanked her for her service during a challenging wartime period.
Svyrydenko, who assumed the premiership in July 2025 after serving as First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister, confirmed her resignation. In a post on X, she expressed gratitude to Zelenskyy for the trust placed in her to lead the government "during the most difficult periods in Ukraine's modern history."
Under Ukrainian law, parliament (the Verkhovna Rada) must approve the prime minister's resignation. If accepted, this would trigger the resignation of the entire cabinet, paving the way for further appointments and reforms. Additional changes in law enforcement leadership are also anticipated.
Svyrydenko, an economist by background, played a prominent role in wartime economic management and efforts to strengthen ties with Western partners, including a notable mineral resources agreement with the United States. Her potential new diplomatic posting is seen by observers as leveraging her expertise in international economic relations.
The reshuffle comes as Ukraine continues to navigate the ongoing war with Russia, pressing for enhanced military support, EU integration, and strategic partnerships. Analysts suggest the changes aim to inject fresh momentum into these priorities.
Further details on her successor and the full scope of the cabinet overhaul are expected in the coming days as parliamentary processes unfold.

Anambra State Government Arrests Blogger Ejike Ofoegbu Over Fake News Against Governor Soludo and Son
https://t.co/rzE5HRrJvo
The Anambra State Government has arrested Ejike Ofoegbu (also known as Ejike Ofoegbu Experience), publisher of Igbo Times Magazine and INews, for publishing and circulating fabricated stories targeting Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his son, Ozonna Soludo.
Ofoegbu reportedly fabricated multiple sensational claims, including false quotes attributing to the governor disowning his son, calling him a “drunkard,” and staging bizarre scenarios like a drinking competition. The stories were designed to generate online traffic and revenue, authorities said.
Following the arrest and legal pressure, Ofoegbu issued a public apology and full retraction on social media. In a signed statement and video, he admitted the reports were “completely fake, false, fabricated, and untrue,” apologized to Governor Soludo, his family, and the public, and pledged to publish retractions in national newspapers.
The state government noted that apologies alone may not suffice, as the publications caused significant reputational damage. Officials warned of potential prosecution under cybercrime and defamation laws, which carry penalties of up to 10 years imprisonment and heavy fines.

@PeterObi What baffles me is how citizens have been conditioned to settle for the least.
Shouldn't basic education, all state schools and their related exams such as NECO, WAEC and JAMB be free except one goes through the private route?
Kemi Badenoch Urges Labour to Stand Firm on 10-Year Wait for Permanent UK Residency
https://t.co/gWE43aoKAR
Kemi Badenoch, leader of the Conservative Party, has urged the Labour government not to water down plans to double the wait for permanent UK residency (ILR) from 5 to 10 years.
In a strongly worded letter, she argued that temporary work visas should not automatically lead to settlement, and migrants in low-paid or unemployed roles should leave when their visas expire a policy that could affect around 2 million recent arrivals. Conservatives have offered to support Labour to pass the tougher rules.

Can you imagine someone who calls himself a leader is sending Autopilot thugs in Abia to go and attack IPOB coordinators in Aba where they gathered for meeting , the same group of people that killed Ikechukwu Ugwuoha, instructing them to kill and destroy anyone who challenged them from taking over IPOB leadership in Abia ?
This warning is going to Some gullible idiots who are silent now. This path they have decided to take will not only backfire dangerously. Those of you they're sending, and that criminal idiot who is coordinating these attacks, you cannot hide when all this starts, and bear in mind you're inviting calamity on your side.
How can any sensible Biafra think along this part ? How can this be? How can you even think along this path of evil against IPOB members who have died for this struggle, some still in prison, and what you will reward them with is to send thugs to attack them? We can play this dangerous game better than all of you. All Biafrans and IPOB globally should take this issue seriously because only a tree will stand when it hears they want to cut it down.
What happened in Abia state yesterday should not happen anywhere in Biafraland , we are not going to fold our hands .
Never !
Never !!

EXCLUSIVE: Police Investigators Challenge Minister David Umahi's Account Of Mary Habila's Death, Insist On Autopsy, Reject Plot To Release Body For Burial | Sahara Reporters https://t.co/Wj911W6Jv8
This is absolutely nothing but the truth. In South Africa, apartheid meaning "apartness" was not just discrimination but a fully engineered system designed to control every aspect of life from 1948 to the early 1990s.
Through laws like the Population Registration Act and Group Areas Act, people were classified by race, separated by force, and denied equal rights. The Black majority was stripped of citizenship, confined to specific areas, and given inferior education and services.
This system was not accidental—it was built to protect white political and economic dominance, using pass laws to control movement, labor, and opportunity. But apartheid did not last forever. Decades of internal resistance and global pressure forced its collapse, leading to the historic 1994 democratic elections.
Understanding this history is key to understanding present-day South Africa.
IPOB DOS PUBLIC BRIEFING
Date: 13 July 2026
RE: FALSE REPORT OF MILITARY ARREST OF IPOB/ESN "EXPLOSIVES EXPERTS" IN ABIA STATE
The attention of the Directorate of States of the Indigenous people of Biafra headed by Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem has been drawn to news reports circulating in the public that troops of the Nigerian army arrested "IPOB/ESN explosives experts" in Umuene community in Isiala Ngwa South local government of Abia State.
We want to unequivocally state that this report is false, misleading, and should be disregarded in its entirety.
What you must know.
1. Lies And Deceit: No IPOB/ESN member or personnel was arrested in the said community in Isiala Ngwa South local government of Abia State in connection with manufacturing of any kind of explosives or arms and ammunition.
2. No Evidence No Clue: We have said it before and will continue to affirm that the modus operandi of the Eastern Security Network will continue to be an unsolvable puzzle to the enemy which in this case is the Nigeria government and all her intelligence agencies and security apparatus. The images and videos often circulated with such reports have previously been recycled from unrelated incidents in different locations and ocassions.
3. Old Pattern Of Propaganda: This has become a recurring pattern of unverified claims used to justify heavy military presence and unlawful operations in Biafraland. They have used such unlawful operations to criminalize communities, arresting and disappearing innocent Igbo youths who have committed no crimes.
The Eastern Security Network was formed as a community defense in response to attacks on our farmlands and villages especially by the Fulani terrorists herdsmen in Biafraland.
Labeling every security encounter as "IPOB/ESN" does not address the root causes of insecurity but only shields the real culprits. We are fully aware that it is the policy of the Nigerian government to turn peoples attention away from the actual perpetrators of violence in Biafran territory ( the Eastern Region of Nigeria ) while at the same time projecting all criminal activities and violence in this region on the non violent IPOB and the Eastern Security Network.
Our Call:
To prove how deceitful the Nigerian military are we challenge them to provide verifiable facts if they arrest criminals and allow independent media, human rights organizations, and civil society groups to freely investigate their claims and report accurately without bias.
Our people in Abia State and the entire Biafraland deserve the truth, due process and genuine security not propaganda.
Signed
Dr C.Okadigbo
DOS Press Secretary.

The Costs and Psychology of Confusing Leadership
In any organization or struggle where the leader deliberately create confusion during a struggle remember he is using it as a tool for control .
He does it because he wants to keep the team or movement dependent on him and for his own direction, without knowing that it ultimately destroys trust, causes prolonged burnout, and leaves followers unable to adapt to any of his sudden selfish changes.
A leader’s constant confusion and shifting goals create an unstable foundation . When followers cannot predict or envision the leader's behavior, they inevitably lose confidence in their judgment and motives.
Instead of followers focusing their efforts on the actual struggle, the team wastes time second-guessing instructions and trying to manage the chaos. This hesitation can easily paralyze the movement at critical moments
A leader who intentionally cause confusion is for his followers to remain off-balance and reliant on him to "interpret reality" . This stifles independent problem-solving and prevents the team from growing or making headway in their struggle .
In environments or struggle where the "why" is lost, it becomes easier for bad leadership to avoid accountability . Unclear expectations can be weaponized to protect those in power and diffuse responsibility for failed decisions
Constant uncertainty triggers a severe stress response in the followers brain . Consequently, the most talented, dedicated and capable members of the struggle will often disengage or abandon the struggle entirely.
This is What #Biafra struggle has gone through for the past decade until the Directorate of state said ; it’s enough we have to step in boldly and save this struggle that millions of #Biafrans have sacrificed their lives, time and fortune. We must never betray or disappoint the Hopes and aspirations of #Biafrans who want freedom.

For years, the Indigenous People of BIafra (IPOB) operated within the bounds of advocacy, but the emergence of its militant wing, the Eastern Security Network, around 2020 marked a decisive turning point, transforming a political agitation into an armed confrontation that would permanently alter the security landscape of the region.
The catalyst for this transformation was not solely ideological; it was also practical and defensive in nature.
