IPOB Strongly Rejects Nigerian Military’s Claim of Busting ESN Armoury in Enugu

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has dismissed as “false and misleading” the Nigerian Army’s claim that it discovered and dismantled an Eastern Security Network (ESN) armoury in Enugu State.

In a powerful statement released on 14th June 2026 by the IPOB Directorate of States, the group declared that no ESN armoury exists in the location mentioned, the paraded individuals are not IPOB/ESN members, and the weapons displayed do not belong to ESN.

IPOB described the operation as recycled propaganda meant to smear the image of the Eastern Security Network and justify continued military operations in Biafraland.

The statement reaffirmed that the ESN was created to protect Biafran communities from armed Fulani herders’ attacks and kidnappings due to the failure of Nigerian security agencies.

Under the DOS, IPOB has developed synchronized global activities that no other Biafran group has been able to replicate. These include:

Intelligent Security units : established to gather intelligence and protect Biafran communities without armed confrontation, focusing on welfare and safety.

Debunking The Lies And Deceit Of The Nigerian Military:

14th June 2026.

The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra under the leadership of the Directorate of States has been drawn to the recent claims by the Nigerian military alleging that they “Burst ESN armuory” in Enugu State.

We state categorically that this claim is false and misleading.

Facts On Ground:

1. There is no ESN armoury in Enugu or close to the location they described.

2. Those paraded by the Nigerian military are not members of IPOB or ESN.

3. The arms and ammunition shown does not belong to the ESN.

4. Recycled propaganda: This is not the first time such fabricated claims have been made to justify unlawful and deceitful military operations in Biafraland and to discredit legitimate security concerns of the people.

We state unequivocally that no armoury belonging to the ESN was ever discovered in Enugu by the Nigerian army because the operational modalities of the ESN are a puzzle to the Nigerian military.

The Eastern Security Network was established by IPOB to protect our people in Biafraland from armed Fulani terrorists herdsmen attacks and kidnappings because the Nigerian government and its security agencies deliberately abdicated their responsibility to provide safety and security to those who unfortunately found themselves in that contraption called Nigeria.
Misrepresenting ESN activities through staged operations will continue to expose the failures of the Nigerian government and its security forces in trying to smear and drag the name of IPOB/ESN to the mud.

We urge the media, civil society groups, and human rights organizations but most importantly the Biafran people to disregard the lies, deceit and false claim of the Nigerian military. The people of Enugu in particular and Biafrans in general should remain calm and go about their legitimate businesses without fear.

The attempt by the Nigerian government to criminalize the good work of the ESN and criminalize the RIGHT to self-defense of the Biafran people who are under siege will not erase the legitimate security concern of our people neither will it dampen our resolve to confront any security threat against our land and our people head on.

What does CAN stand for again?

Christian Association of Nigeria? Or maybe Cowards Amassing Naira? Or Crooks Astray in Nigeria? After this week, it’s genuinely hard to tell.

Black Sunday. Big solemn statement. Lots of language about “forces of evil” and “resilience” and the urgent need for prayer.

The wolf is eating the sheep.

CAN is telling the sheep to look the other direction.

Jesus called out the Pharisees for their phylacteries — those little scripture boxes they strapped to their foreheads so the crowd could see how holy they were. Made them extra wide. Made sure they caught the light. Look at us. Look at how we stand for God.

Meanwhile the sheep were being slaughtered and they were counting the offerings.

CAN has mastered the phylactery.

The statements. The solemn observances. The Black Sunday press releases with all the right words in all the right order. The interfaith banquets. The titles and the platforms and the cameras.

But Paul told you what this fight actually is.

Ephesians 6:12. Written from a prison cell. “We do not wrestle with flesh and blood — we wrestle with principalities, with powers, with rulers of darkness, with spiritual forces of wickedness in high places.”

That verse is not a permission slip to stay vague. It is a command to go deeper. To identify the spirit behind the spear. To name it. To call it out. To confront it.

That is what spiritual leaders are for.

The spirit behind the slaughter in Nigeria has a name. It has a doctrine, a throne, and a 222-year track record. It is not hiding. The men who serve it announce it from the rooftops and write it in their founding documents.

It is called Islamic Jihad.

For some reason, CAN cannot say those two words. So instead, the flock gets “forces of evil” and “resilience” and a prayer for President Tinubu’s wisdom and determination. Resilience. Unity. Prayer.

Look over here, sheep. Not over there at the wolf devouring your brothers and sisters.

That is not a shepherd. That is a distraction.

John 10: “The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away.” The hired hand sees the wolf and runs. Sometimes straight into the arms of the government that feeds it.

Jesus called this crowd whitewashed tombs. Brood of vipers. I’ll add: Cowards. Hirelings. And in too many cases — bloodsucking dragons in a collar, more worried about the offering plate than the blood on the floor.

Nigeria’s Christians are not dying for lack of prayer. They are dying because the men God positioned between them and the wolf keep turning them around to face the other way.

Paul named the powers and put on the armor. Jesus walked into the temple with a whip.

Will the real shepherds please stand up?
