Any policy that quietly props up Big Pharma will raise costs for patients, employers, and families—exactly the opposite of real health-care affordability
Tennessee needs solutions that lower drug prices, not hidden bailouts.

Policymakers in Nashville and DC should take the win on avoiding a breakup and stop there. No compelled data transfers. Focus on protecting users’ privacy and consumer welfare in the free market.
1/ The AI “bubble” debate is loud. The signal is quieter: concrete infrastructure wins that can anchor a durable, U.S.-led AI economy. Chips, power, orchestration....
Do you think every once in a while everyone in the White House jumps out of their skin and then freezes terrified before someone realizes and says “oh shit yea Paula’s in today”
What if instead of a vaccine we just were able to get exposed to a weak version of the virus that enabled us to build the antibodies we need to fight the real thing
Why is energy production broken? What can we do to fix it?
We let energy production stall in the U.S., and it's critical that we catch up.
We let that happen because our quality of life in the late 20th century improved so fast that the marginal utility of 1 more unit of infrastructure was basically nil.
The penalty paid for capital misallocation plummeted... and appointing an incompetent person to a position of responsibility became lower risk.
There's a whole backstory there about how printing money hollows out society, but that's for another post.
In short, we loosened our standards across the board, because we could afford to - at least, for a while.
With so much wealth and boredom, the human mind turns to trifles. Luxury beliefs became a universal indulgence, and the king of all luxury beliefs was that temporary politicians could make pronouncements that change the temperature of Earth.
And so energy consumption - and energy production - came to countersignal "progress."
In the meantime, extraordinary American engineers figured out how to make sand think. Nowadays, scarcely a month goes by without another breakthrough in AI engineering.
A future is within our grasp where mindless tasks that waste millions of human lifetimes every year could be automated away. Driving deaths could plummet to zero. Medical breakthroughs could make widespread diseases a thing of the past.
This is real progress exceeding the industrial revolution, when global real GDP roughly quadrupled. Like the industrial revolution, energy will be what makes it all work.
More compute = More energy = More wealth.
The Chinese Communist Party knows this. China added 500 terawatt hours in 2024 vs. 2023, while total U.S. generation was about 4100 TWh. Carried forward, China will likely add the equivalent of the entire U.S.’s annual electricity production roughly every eight years.
It doesn't matter if Americans were the ones to invent AI if they don't have the energy to actually use it.
Energy production is a central problem of our time.
Let's lay to rest retrograde arguments like "data centers raise electricity costs." That uses a scarcity mindset. In reality, data centers lower electricity costs because they prompt investment in energy production. Communities benefit from the energy, and from the compute, and from the jobs – this is what economic development looks like in the 2020s.
It’s funny to watch grown people lose the ability to comprehend that joking about something is not equivalent to condoning it. I blame the plastic in the water, personally.
For one, Charlie Kirk didn’t do this. There’s a reason the Unfuck America tour had to sneak in to his events. He didn’t want to debate anyone who does these sorts of debates professionally.
For two, Destiny has literally been doing this with Pangburn.
Destiny has the complete legal right to say everything that he’s saying about Charlie Kirk and the right wing.
Authoritarian scum like Elon Musk want to jail their political opponents for “hate speech.”
One is living proof we need more bullying in schools—a spiteful, untrustworthy, poisonous little dwarf whose Israel worship is delivered in the same ugly staccato countertenor in which he stabs friends in the back and his birth country in the front. The other is Ben Shapiro.
Candace wtf, I didn’t expect you to take such a victim stance… you were in the “bring it on” camp about this story, now you’re in the “I’m just a mother who’s podcasting from her basement, I can’t believe you’d do this to me” ?
Stop… even Trump asked you to drop it and you doubled down and told the world what he asked, then now you’re asking Trump to help you
