@PacSurfliners I'm doing my best to not get frustrated as a tragedy is what has caused the delay, but I was supposed to board at 4:21PM and now my total delay, if my train actually departs at 8:52, is 4.5 hours 😩
@PacSurfliners I was supposed to board 784 today now I'm waiting on 790. Can you confirm that 790 will still run south? As of this posting, Amtrak Train Status is showing that it will depart BUR at 8:52PM (delay of 1 hr 43 min). Thanks
I will defend the DS-1 until the day I die.
TONE almost all the way down, DIST below noon, use it to boost an already dirty amp, not with a super clean one (i.e. Roland Jazz Chorus).
Knobs higher are for the specific ‘megaphone’ distortion sound. It’s a feature, not a bug.
@3PickupMusicMan@andertonsmusic Basically — it’s not a one size fits all distortion pedal. Use it to boost your already dirty amp or one that’s near breakup. Or, push that thing way far out for a specific tone.
It’s user error, not pedal error.
It’s a feature of the pedal, not a flaw.
@3PickupMusicMan@andertonsmusic The DS-1 is a great pedal, but it’s just not used correctly a lot. There’s a broad application if the tone/dist knobs are set really low.
Anything past that and it’ll sound like a ‘telephone’ like the guys said, but that very well could be the desired sound for a specific song.
@EODHappyCaptain I asked him what his sleeping mat was and he showed me the ways of the crusty old timers. After that, I only used the issued one when we had to bring it to PT.
@EODHappyCaptain I just went and bought my own very early in my career. Shoutout to my first platoon sergeant who was an old gulf war veteran when I got to my unit in 2006.
He was one of those OLD E-7s that would not be uncomfortable when we were out in the field 😂
@GuitarStuf I do one of these with my setup in Canva every so often. I actually need to redo this one because I’ve added/changed a few things on my board.
