@zeefarmer@farmerjim79 I know. It’s been fun to watch the circus next door. Just hope they don’t make a weed mess. The revolving door of temporary foreign workers working on their own with little to no supervision can be concerning.
@zeefarmer@farmerjim79 His guys were actually pretty decent on the roads. He had 3-5 Aussies over here doing everything and running 24/7. Sounds like they’ve all quit recently.
@farmerjim79 4940 have 120’ booms? Very happy with 100’ steel booms on 4730, they take abuse in the hills well.
4730 had option for 3 or 5 height sensors. The more sensors the better for sure if that’s an option on 4940.
@farmerjim79@CRToney2@zeefarmer I wonder what he got it for. The investment company was looking for $145 before it went up for tender. And I know $90 didn’t win the bid.
@buperac Live stream cameras would help the nearby guys, but not the guys 2 hrs away. The custom guys will be hauling no matter what. Elevators should use their existing apps for a live stream as well as posting how many are expected to haul and push notifications about breakdowns/trains.
@kowalchukfarms1 It’s impressive that some guys farm by themselves. The extra thought that goes into moving equipment or doing machine repairs. Not always having an extra set of hands to help lift something or pick you up when you break down/get stuck. I’m sure it can be tricky at times.
@Mullin_95 I’ve seen YouTube videos showing how the dealer has a little mirror on the card shuffler and can choose between the first and second card to manipulate the outcome.
@MaizeingPete The button on the loader joy stick is awesome. just press it for forward/reverse no clutch needed and don’t have to take your hand off to switch direction.
@fredweisg It fairly easy to do yourself, they’re just held in by metal strips underneath. Just blow them out really well before you start pulling the strips.
2 loads of durum went to the elevator yesterday. One right after the other in line. Both from the same field and same hopper bin. First load grades #1 Second load grades #3.
Make that make sense.
