@dog_footy@dissidentwest The problem with it being a satire is that the bugs are portrayed as a legitimate threat. This makes a militaristic society the only logical/moral conclusion.
I’ve heard theories as to why the bugs were not really a threat, but they do not actually appear in the film
@MichaelOhm5@dog_footy@dissidentwest The Right Wing will collectivize for an external threat. This is where the Horse Shoe theory of politics stems from.
@fandompulse Star Trek was progressive but it was never “woke.” The original series demonstrated themes of liberal ideas and individual rights, which is the core of liberalism. Wokism celebrates collectivist thinking and post-modernism, and which are antithetical to Star Trek
@BarackObama Your continued presence in politics is actively ruining your legacy. Your biggest strength was the sycophants in corporate media and that no longer exists.
@thereallorilove Talking politics is masculine coded, which makes her seem less obviously attractive. That being said, she’s stunning for a woman in her 50s.
@andres20ad It’s not “exploitation,” that’s just communist semantic garbage.
Starting from first principles, even cavemen had to work extremely hard to survive. If you extrapolate from there, you realize that requiring a job in an economic system is not exploitation.
@FuriaeTradicao She got knocked out, the coaches SHOULD step in.
I have a problem with the overall setup… she’s a head taller, probably 2-3 years older and is going full contact. Someone was always going to get hurt.
