If Jerusalem No Longer Matters, Why Is Jesus Coming Back There?

If the Church is now Israel, if the Kingdom is only spiritual, and if God's promises to Jerusalem have already been fulfilled, then a simple question remains:

Why is Jesus returning to Jerusalem?

Not Rome.

Not Athens.

Not Geneva.

Not Washington.

Jerusalem.

The answer reaches back thousands of years into the covenants and promises of God.

The story of Jerusalem did not begin with the Second Coming. It began with covenants.

God promised Abraham a land:

"I will give to you and your descendants after you... all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession."
— Genesis 17:8
He promised David a throne:

"Your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever."
— 2 Samuel 7:16

And He promised Israel a future restoration:
"I will take you from among the nations... and bring you into your own land."
— Ezekiel 36:24

The return of Jesus is not the cancellation of these promises.

It is their fulfillment.

Centuries after David, the angel Gabriel announced that Jesus would fulfill the Davidic Covenant:

"The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David."
— Luke 1:32

Gabriel did not say the throne would be spiritualized.

He did not say the promise would be transferred.

He did not say the covenant would be redefined.

He said Jesus would receive David's throne.
David's throne was in Jerusalem.

The prophets never moved it.

The apostles never moved it.

And God never revoked it.

The Bible repeatedly presents Jerusalem as the focal point of the final conflict of history.

"I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle."
— Zechariah 14:2

Jerusalem becomes the center of international hostility and spiritual warfare.

Why?

Because Jerusalem is the city God chose.

Because Jerusalem is the city of the King.

Because Jerusalem is the city from which Messiah will reign.

Satan's hatred for Jerusalem is ultimately a hatred for God's covenant purposes.

As Zechariah declares:

"I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples."
— Zechariah 12:3

The city that burdens the nations today is the city that will one day govern them.

Yet the story does not end with Jerusalem's defeat.

It ends with Jerusalem's deliverance.

"The LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with You."
— Zechariah 14:5

Zechariah then gives one of the most astonishingly specific prophecies in Scripture:

"His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east."
— Zechariah 14:4

This is not vague symbolism.

This is geography.

The same mountain from which Jesus ascended is the mountain to which He returns.

The angels told the disciples:

"This same Jesus... will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."
— Acts 1:11

The ascension was literal.
The return will be literal.

Ezekiel adds another remarkable detail:

"This is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell among the children of Israel forever."
— Ezekiel 43:7

God's throne.

God's feet.

Israel.

Jerusalem.

The prophets consistently point to the same destination.

The prophets also describe Jerusalem as the capital of the Messianic Kingdom.

"Out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."
— Isaiah 2:3

"For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."
— Micah 4:2

The nations will come to Jerusalem to learn the ways of the King.

This is not a picture of the nations disappearing into heaven.

It is a picture of the King ruling the earth.

Some argue these promises were fulfilled spiritually in the Church.

Yet the same prophets who predicted Messiah would be born in Bethlehem:

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah..."
— Micah 5:2

also predicted He would reign from Jerusalem.

If Bethlehem was literal, why should Jerusalem suddenly become symbolic?

Arnold Fruchtenbaum wisely observed:

"If the words Jerusalem, Zion, Israel, and Jacob do not mean what they normally mean, then language itself becomes meaningless."

That is precisely the issue.

When the prophets spoke of Jerusalem, they meant Jerusalem.

When they spoke of David's throne, they meant David's throne.
When they spoke of Israel, they meant Israel.

And when they spoke of Messiah reigning from Zion, they meant Zion.

The world calls Jerusalem a problem.

God calls it His chosen city.

The nations seek to divide it.

Jesus is coming to rule from it.

"The LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: 'This is My resting place forever.'"
— Psalm 132:13–14

The King is coming back to the city that rejected Him.

But He will not return merely as a suffering servant.
He will return as the Son of David, King of kings, and Lord of lords.

And Jerusalem will finally say:

"Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"
— Matthew 23:39

Regardless of whether you believe it or not, we are at the end of what is known as the age of grace or the church age. Jesus Christ is coming back for His own any moment just as He said He would in John 14:3. There are too many signs taking place that point to the Seven Year Tribulation. (Daniel's 70th week), as stated in Daniel 9:24-27 and described in detail in Revelation 6-9, 12-13, 15-19, is about to start. Since we, believers in Jesus Christ are not appointed to the wrath of God as stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:9, the church (believers in Jesus Christ) will be Raptured (Harpazo) out of this world to meet the Lord in the air according to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53.

If you are left behind to face Gods wrath, odds are you will end up dying very quickly. Do you know where you will spend eternity? Heaven or Hell?

All are guilty of sin, every man, woman, young, old, rich, and poor. Everyone has a choice to make, to believe in Jesus Christ, to believe the gospel, to accept His free gift of salvation. Or reject it.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

"1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Romans 10:9-10

"9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Be ready, believe, time is almost up. I dont want anyone to be left behind to face the coming judgment. There is no 2nd chance after this life is over. No "Golden Age" is coming, there will be no global "peace and security". America is not going to become great again. Jesus Christ alone is your only hope. Be ready.

Because eschatology has been ignored or taught incorrectly for generations, we have a Church which largely believes that the Church has become Israel and that the Church will create a kingdom for Jesus to return to.

It is my personal opinion that we are going home this year.

Could I be wrong?

Sure.

But I wholeheartedly believe that.

We are watching the foundation be laid for what happens in the seals- and we aren’t here for that.

We are actively watching large “Christian” platforms preparing to support the antichrist.

All playing out perfectly for the coming deception.

Get right with Christ- put your faith in the finished work on the cross before it’s too late.

Polio didn’t disappear the way you think it did.

Google why we no longer see crippled kids from polio. You’ll get one answer: vaccines.

But Dr. Suzanne Humphries says that’s not what the facts show—and when you dig into the history, the real story is jaw-dropping.

First off, polio never actually disappeared. “Polio is still here. Polio is still alive and well,” Humphries says.

What changed? The definition. Once the vaccine was introduced, the medical establishment redefined what counted as “polio.”

Humphries explains: “Polio is called different things today. Whereas back in the 1940s, 1950s, the criteria for diagnosing polio were completely different to the year that the vaccine was introduced. The playing field, the goalposts—everything was changed… they were able to show a complete cascading drop of paralytic polio simply because of the way they changed the definitions of what polio is and what could cause it.”

Suddenly, cases that would’ve been labeled polio were now called Guillain-Barré syndrome, coxsackievirus, echovirus—or simply chalked up to heavy metal poisoning. “They didn’t have virus, or they had coxsackievirus or echovirus, or they were lead poisoned or mercury poisoned, which was—the mercury and lead were the leading treatments of the day,” she said.

But it gets worse.

The rise of polio, she says, directly mirrored the use of toxic pesticides like DDT. “The tonnage of production of DDT absolutely mirrored the diagnosis for polio.” And even today, “the countries that still make DDT today is where we’re still seeing this paralytic polio situation happen.”

So what about the virus?

Polio virus, according to Humphries, is what’s known as a commensal—a normal virus that lives in most people without causing problems. In fact, “95 to 99% of all polio is asymptomatic.” She described a study of the Javante Indians where “98 to 99% of every person they tested… had evidence of immunity to all three strains of polio.”

When asked where all the paralyzed children were, she recalled: “They were like, ‘We don’t have any of that problem.’”

Humphries also points to a 1916 Rockefeller lab in Manhattan that, in her words, had “the specific stated goal… to try to create the most pathological, neuropathological strain of polio possible.” By injecting monkey brains and human spinal serum into monkeys, “there was a big problem with that, which was released into the public by accident. And the world experienced the worst polio epidemic on record. 25% mortality.”

Bottom line? According to Dr. Humphries, polio didn’t disappear because of vaccines. It disappeared behind a curtain of redefinitions, misdiagnoses, manmade disasters—and a whole lot of propaganda.
