I'd have an easier time believing those who use "neighbourhood character" or tree removal, infrastructure concerns, affordability etc... to argue against/ block gentle density increases IF they weren't silent when a 1600 sqft home on a tree filled lot is replaced by a single 6000(!) sqft single family home that just sold for $4.2 million.
In the past decade 100s of 60+ year old homes have been replaced 1 for 1 with MUCH larger homes that make the neighbourhood they're in less affordable, and more exclusive. Those homes are locked away for another 60+ years and every passing year we do nothing we lose more opportunities to add housing to neighbourhoods that are losing people.
We should aspire for our neighbourhoods to be places where young families can grow; where seniors can downsize and stay in their community; where nurses, teachers, and the service workers we rely on can afford to live near their work; where kids can walk or roll to school and to their friend's house; where we know our neighbours by their names not simply by the car they drive. That's neighbourhood character I think is worth fighting for.
I love stats! So cool looking at the breakdown of votes. McNair/Shellmont is home, and I’m so grateful to have received the most votes of any candidate at Woodward with 388, and 977 votes combined across all three Shellmont voting locations!
Home-field advantage was in effect!
I decided to run for Richmond City Council at the beginning of August, and I’m incredibly grateful to have received 6,668 votes — the highest of any independent candidate.
I am so grateful for the experience and meaningful connections I made along the way. (1/2)
I know I still have so much to learn, but this campaign has only strengthened my commitment to Richmond. I’ll continue to listen, learn, show up, and advocate for our community.
Thank you, Richmond. This is just the beginning

@davidyang421 Thank you for your commitment and dedication to the students and staff of SD38 over your time as trustee. Best of luck on the next chapter.
Hope to see you run again next time around!
It’s election day, and I’m incredibly thankful for all the support I’ve received throughout this journey.
Today, I can’t help but think about my close friends and family members who are no longer with us — those who would be so proud and standing right by my side on this journey
ELECTION DAY!!!! 🗳️
Good luck to all the candidates running in today’s municipal election! Thank you for putting your names forward and stepping up to serve our community. It takes courage, commitment, and a genuine passion for your city to put yourself out there.

Scott Rintoul first said those words about Sports Page in 2001. Now, 25 years later, he’s helping carry its spirit forward with Sports Page BC.

Strikers strike late!
McRoberts pulls it out with a go ahead goal in the 87th minute. Taking the game 2-1. It was a very entertaining game that could have gone either way.

And can we add another excavator or two? One could be positioned at the edge of the platform to make it more accessible for children with physical limitations.
@Richmond_BC
Okay @Richmond_BC, nice to see some improvements (like monkey bars!!). However, I’m still waiting for the stern of the ship—the part in your renderings that showed an inclusive and accessible section of the ship.
