Disappointing & heartbreaking to see a candidate with such a desperately needed message piss everything away with terrible behavior and bad choices. It’s time for us to do the only thing you can do when you make a mistake: Correct it as quickly as possible and move on.
BREAKING NEWS: PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP has canceled the signing of the housing bill until Congress passes the SAVE America Act.
The stage is set in the Capitol.
House GOP leadership is literally on stage right now touting the bill.
Sen. Tuberville promised voters he would donate “every dime” he made in Washington, D.C., to Alabama veterans — and even present checks on a monthly basis. Six years later, tax records and his own nonprofit show no evidence that ever happened.

@ScottButtram@ALHouseGOP@ALSenateRepubs Here are the Democratic recommendations that never made the news.
To your question: yes. HB 475 required the Governor to choose 2 names from 6 submitted by GOP leadership and 2 names from 6 submitted by Democratic leadership.
EXCLUSIVE SCOOP — Heavily redacted tax returns volunteered by the Tommy Tuberville @CoachForGov campaign as proof of his residency inadvertently exposed the sitting U.S. senator’s tax history, income details and sensitive information.
The tax documents were disclosed by attorneys for Tuberville’s gubernatorial campaign Monday night in a formal response to an election challenge pending with the Alabama Republican Party.
The documents blacked out nearly all details other than names and filing status, but left intact a scannable barcode at the top corner of the forms. When scanned, that code renders the data from the entire tax return, from Social Security numbers, driver’s license information, wages, deductions, and investment earnings.
I detail what the data reveals about Tuberville's tax history and the questions it raises.
