It’s #BlackHistoryMonth, a time to focus on and celebrate black communities in the UK. We spoke to Wales’ first Black children’s author @JDunrod to find out what #BHM means to her.
Happy St David’s Day! 🏴
Today also marks 1 year since we launched “The Powerful Life of Billy Boston” in honour of the greatest rugby player on record.
Jessica Dunrod is from Cardiff and believed to be the first black and Welsh children's author. She writes books influenced by her Welsh-West Indian heritage and Wales' historical multicultural society. Her first book was Your Hair is your Crown. #BHCymru365

We in Wales need to do better at teaching our own history in our schools, the good and painful.
That was supposed to be the point in decolonising @AmgueddfaCymru - to correct the erasure of our local & global 🏴 history.
They prioritised their racism over sharing Welsh history
Today marks 112 years since the worst mining disaster in the history of the UK, the Senghenydd Colliery Disaster.
440 people died following the events of that morning.
Today, we remember them.
Investigations have opened into a burglary at St. Fagans national museum of history in Cardiff.
Police say bronze age jewellery was stolen from a display case there early on Monday morning.
Museum Wales says it's saddened by the 'targeted attack'
@LSRPlaid uses this as an op to get our objects back to wales (fair enough)
But having witnessed the mismanagement & ineptitude of the @AmgueddfaCymru leadership the past year there’s a case to argue that AC wouldn’t know if objects are missing or not from there…
