Gov. Gavin Newsom — just a day after announcing he’s under federal investigation — has agreed to pay a $31,500 ethics fine after California’s political watchdogs found the governor failed to timely disclose millions of dollars in donations he solicited, many of which were tied to Los Angeles wildfire relief.

In 1986, Mercedes put a turbocharged five-cylinder diesel in the smallest car in their range.
The OM602 2.5L inline-five with a turbocharger produced 122 HP modest on paper, but in a car weighing just over 1,200 kg with rear-wheel drive, sounds like fun.

Used in the G-Class military Wolf, the W124, and various commercial vehicles, with documented examples running past 1,000,000 km on original internals.
In a Baby Benz, with a turbocharger, in 1986.
