A warm welcome to all attendees to Dublin, thanks to the E-ATP / ATP organisers and @NigelEvansPsych for coordinating, and congratulations to the EFPA Board of Assessment 2023-2025 for their work on the model.
Great to attend the European Association of Test Publishers Conference, focused on Building European Assessment for All, to share work done on the @EFPA_EuroPsy Test Review Model: https://t.co/ibEydBJuf7
The model provides a structure for descriptions and evaluations of psychological assessments, tests, scales, profiles, and questionnaires used in work and organisational, educational, clinical, health, clinical neuropsychology, sports, forensic, counselling, coaching contexts.

Sharing wisdom always makes sense. But some topics, like digitalisation, are inherently global in their reach making strategic alignment even more important. Given the pace of technological development, and the far reaching societal impact, psychology has a key role.
The session will explore how tech use isn't good or bad in itself- it's all in how you go about it and specifically whether it is a fit for the client, practitioner and form of practice.
I'm looking forward to facilitating a workshop for APA tomorrow: 'Complementary or Competitive? The Role of Technology in Psychological Practice'

Major credit to the WHO Regional Office for Europe’s Mental Health Flagship for their work on this policy brief focused on ‘Addressing the digital determinants of youth mental health and well-being’.
The brief suggests eight priority actions for countries to promote and protect the mental health and well-being of young people in digital environments, and to mitigate the potential harms related to social media, artificial intelligence and other digital technologies.
🎉 Happy birthday to us!
On this day in 1970, the PSI was founded. Our very first AGM was held at the Mater Hospital, chaired by founding member Mr. James McLoone.
Here’s to 55 years of advocating for psychology in Ireland—and to many more!
This week, PSI representatives Dr Damien Lowry (President), Dr Dean McDonnell (International Liason Officer), Dr John Francis Leader (Honorary Secretary) attended the @EFPA_EuroPsy Council Meetings in Brussels. The PSI was honoured to attend “An Integrated Approach to Mental Health: Priorities for the European Parliament Intergroup on Mental Health”, an event hosted by MEP Maria Walsh at @Europarl_EN. The meetings were a great opportunity to facilitate connections with European partners in psychology, identify strategic priorities for the Intergroup on Mental Health, and support EFPA’s efforts on the EU stage. Special thanks to @MariaWalshEU for being so willing to engage with the PSI and all other psychologists’ associations. We look forward to working with all stakeholders in the future.
Happy European Public Health Week! @EFPA_EuroPsy was glad to attend the @WHO + @EUPHA kick off event today on optimising mental health services as a workplace. Key message = we have to care for those who care for others, it's better for everyone #mentalhealth#publichealth
Delighted to attend the @EFPSA Congress in Antalya, Turkey on behalf of @EFPA_EuroPsy. The theme is perceptual illusions, and I used my keynote to highlight some of the ways that technology meditates perception and the role of psychologists in ensuring it helps wellbeing
