@JFRGofficial stands with our University of Illinois colleagues at @UIUC_FAFAA in calling attention to the crisis of anti-Jewish hate and discrimination facing Jewish faculty there.
This situation reflects a broader pattern of systemic anti-Jewish (primarily in the form of antizionist) discrimination occurring on campuses across North America.
Universities cannot address this crisis while refusing to name it. They must unapologetically and unequivocally confront antzionist hate and discrimination when it targets the core of Jewish identity, peoplehood, history, and existence.
Jewish and Zionist faculty deserve the same protection, dignity, and equal standing as every other campus community. @ADL@JGreenblattADL@simonwiesenthal@brandeiscenter@AJCGlobal@yudapearl@IacFor@ShabbosK
Unchecked Jew-hatred at University of Illinois. We don't want special treatment and we don't call for our hateful colleagues to be punished. We just want the University administration to speak out for us like it does for other American minorities.
First, UCLA must recognize how anti-Zionism can fuel anti-Jewish discrimination and violate Jewish civil rights.
Then what must come next?
All four matter.
Which should UCLA prioritize first?
Weโre growing. So is our mission.
Formerly JFRG at UCLA, JFRG is expanding into a North American network connecting and supporting Jewish faculty, staff, and postdocs.
Weโre building resilient campus communities, advancing academic freedom, and combating antisemitism.
Truth. Safety. Resilience.

Reports and promises are not enough. UCLA must turn its antisemitism roadmap into enforceable standards, independent oversight, and measurable results.

[Antisemitism] cannot become just statistics. They must serve as a call to action.โ - Rick Chavez Zbur
As Shabbat meets July 4, JFRG honors the freedoms that make Jewish life in America possible, and the responsibility to defend them with courage and clarity.

Anti-Zionist Columbia faculty are seeking a share of the $21M settlement meant for Jewish, Zionist & Israeli @Columbia employees harassed after Oct. 7.
Former faculty member Amy Werman, who retired from @ColumbiaSSW because of antisemitism, shared her perspective: โMy focus is on the members of the Columbia community who were harmed for supporting Israel and standing up to antisemitism on campus. I trust that the @USEEOC will be able to distinguish the merits of those deserving of compensation amongst all claimants.โ
Thank you to @TheAENetwork and @_FAAM for your ongoing advocacy.

The people closest to the crisis are already standing up. Now they need reinforcements.
Jewish faculty and staff are on the front lines inside higher education, defending academic integrity and confronting anti-Jewish hate and antizionist discrimination.
JFRG gives them the professional representation, training, advocacy, and support they need to keep going.

UCLAโs May 14 report is a first step, but it falls short.
UCLA cannot combat antisemitism while sidestepping the role of antizionism in driving hostility on campus.

Thank you @arielJalali for covering this. For 2+ years, Jewish faculty @JFrgatUCLA have documentated & fought anti-Jewish hate affecting the UCLA Jewish community. For broader context from UCLA Jewish faculty and staff: https://t.co/WRfsJrtFmu
@MaxAbrahms This was not just a student conflict. It was an institutional failure to protect Jewish and Israeli students, faculty, and staff. For 2+ years, @JFrgatUCLA has documented the UCLA campus reality: https://t.co/qdQMSiySgG
