The nation's largest statewide coalition of Jewish organizations, advocating for Jewish communal issues and values in Sacramento. Repping over 40 Jewish orgs
JPAC is now JEWISH CALIFORNIA – Our Voice in Sacramento.
For more than 50 years, we’ve brought Jewish community institutions together to advocate statewide for safety, dignity, and shared values.
As antisemitism and hate rise, Jewish organizations face increased threats, and the services that support our most vulnerable neighbors are increasingly at risk. In this moment, clarity about who we are and how we show up has never mattered more.
JEWISH CALIFORNIA reflects who we are today: the nation’s largest statewide coalition of Jewish organizations, speaking with one unified voice.
We’re proud to enter this next chapter.

AB 2664 – our bill to establish Safe Worship Zones (Bubble Zones) at houses of worship – just passed out of the Assembly with a 48-0 vote!
Special thanks to Assemblymember @BauerKahan for authoring this critical bill to protect our institutions.
The bill now heads to the Senate!
NOTE: The final vote count may still change. The remaining 32 Assemblymembers who abstained can add their votes before the Assembly gavels to a close later tonight.
ADL was at @JPACcalifornia Capitol Summit in Sacramento this week to meet with elected officials, community leaders, and advocates, and push for real protections for all Californians. That includes AB 2664, creating safe worship zones so people can enter and leave their place of worship safely and without intimidation. In 2025, 90 synagogues in California were targeted in antisemitic incidents. Silence is no longer an option.
At a @Jewish_Cal virtual forum Sunday, five candidates for state superintendent staked out positions on AB 715, the safety of Jewish students in public schools, and a proposal that would strip the very office they’re running for of its independence. Read more at @jewishsf: https://t.co/u4ovpZURAA
We are horrified and heartbroken by today's deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Three innocent people were murdered while gathered in a place of worship. Our hearts are with the victims, their families, and the entire San Diego Muslim community.
Houses of worship must be sacred, protected spaces for people of every faith. When one community is targeted for how they pray, all of us are diminished. Our Jewish community knows this experience all too well. We stand in unwavering solidarity with our Muslim neighbors across California and reaffirm that hatred and violence have no place in our state.
We recommit ourselves to working with California's leaders to enact policies and direct resources that ensure every faith community can worship and gather free from fear.
Who will be the next leader of California’s public schools?
Last night, we joined our partners at @jpaccalifornia to host the five candidates for California State Superintendent of Public Instruction for a powerful conversation on the issues impacting the Jewish community most, including AB 715 implementation and rising antisemitism on college campuses.
Thank you to our fellow sponsors @adlcalifornia, @ajcnorcal, @jfcsorg, @jewishbayarea, and @jfedla for helping make this important forum possible.

Happy Jewish American Heritage Month!
Yesterday, I joined Rabbi Noah Farkas for a fireside chat at the @JPACcalifornia’s Capitol Summit.
We discussed how California is proud to celebrate and stand with the Jewish community, as well as the vital role Jewish Americans have in shaping our state and nation.
“No student should have to become a civil rights expert to fight their own discrimination.” @ADL chair board member Nicole Mutchnik was at @JPACcalifornia’s Capitol Summit in Sacramento this week to meet with lawmakers and Jewish leaders and advocate for real action, including AB 2664, which would create a buffer zone to protect congregants entering and leaving their houses of worship. The Jewish community is under attack, and staying silent is not an option.
It was great to attend the @JPACcalifornia Capitol Summit and see so many incredible leaders united for social justice and to combat anti-Semitism. It was inspiring to hear from Second Gentleman @DouglasEmhoff and how he has been driven to help combat anti-Semitism as a major
I had a wonderful time at the @JPACcalifornia summit, educating legislators on important bills to the Jewish community (creating buffer zones outside of houses of worship, making “Jewish” an ethnicity on state forms, expanding the nonprofit security grant). I have never been someone to sit by and watch from the sidelines when things are happening to my community; I take real action. I’m part of a beautiful young leadership program with the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, where I can become more involved in civic life and make things better for my community. At this summit, I also heard from inspiring speakers and leaders from the Jewish organizations in California. Yes, this state has its problems, yes, antisemitism happens here, but I am hopeful for the future, and you can bet I’m doing my part to actively make it better.
Northern California @StandWithUs staff and board members are proud to join other Jewish organizations and community members from across California at the @JPACcalifornia Capitol Summit in Sacramento to fight for our community and the well-being of all Californians.
