NEW: We’ve brought together a broad coalition of organizations representing mainstream American Jewry, condemning the exploitation of our community’s real concerns about antisemitism to undermine democratic norms and rights and our academic institutions. https://t.co/oDGaesyL4o
When this pardon payout fund was first reported, @amyspitalnick warned that it would send a dangerous message: that “extremism pays — literally.”
Extremism should never be incentivized, rewarded, or normalized. The administration scrapping the fund is good news.

Keeping communities safe requires directly confronting antisemitism & hate in all forms, building real solidarity, and strengthening the inclusive democracy that protect all of us.
One year ago today, the Boulder community was targeted in a violent act of antisemitism. We remember Karen Diamond and all those impacted -- and refuse to accept antisemitism and violence as “normal.”
Our partners in Indiana rejected the Lt Gov’s call to “hate” Muslims. So now the LG is attacking the Jewish community.
Islamophobia is never about Jewish safety — it’s about pitting us against each other & advancing extremism and it makes us all less safe https://t.co/TtAS1U0nb8
Pride began as a fight simply to live authentically. Thanks to so many LGBTQ+ heroes, we've come far - and there’s much work ahead.
Equality, safety, and the dignity to be who we are — created b’tzelem Elohim — are the sacred values we must always work toward.

"They" are human beings. As Jews, we know all too well where government propaganda like this leads. This is white supremacist extremism that inevitably fuels violence.
This #JewishAmericanHeritageMonth we celebrate Arnold Aronson—first Executive Director of what is now JCPA, co-founder of the @civilrightsorg, and a key architect of major civil rights legislation.
This #JewishAmericanHeritageMonth we remember Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whose fierce advocacy expanded the promise of equality and strengthened the foundations of American democracy.
Eid al-Adha begins at nightfall, we extend warm wishes to all who are celebrating.

On Shavuot, we remember Sinai — not just as a moment of revelation, but a call to justice & shared responsibility.
Just as the Torah was given to the people, we affirm that democracy is strongest when it is inclusive — when every voice is heard and dignity is upheld for all.

Our safety is inextricably linked.
One year ago, Sarah Milgrim & Yaron Lischinsky were murdered in a horrific act of antisemitic violence outside the Capital Jewish Museum.
Today, we remember them — and reaffirm that when antisemitic hate is normalized, we are all less safe.
May their memories be for a blessing.
The administration's new $1.8 billion pardon payout fund for Jan. 6 insurrections and others only further normalizes hate and extremism.
As JCPA CEO @amyspitalnick told @nytimes: “It proves that extremism pays — literally.”

Today, we’re mourning the loss of Rep. Barney Frank, whose bravery and legacy of fighting for justice, equality, and democracy inspires us all.
His life and leadership embodied core Jewish values of dignity, fairness, and responsibility to others. May his memory be a blessing.
Breaking News: Barney Frank, the congressman whose coming out in 1987 helped normalize being openly gay in public life, has died. He was 86. https://t.co/kyVPkJ20mh

“Investigators recovered anti-Islamic writing in the car where the suspects were found dead… The words ‘hate speech’ were written on one of the guns.”
Anti-Muslim hate & extremism have been normalized by politicians & others -- and this is precisely where it leads.
We are horrified by today’s shooting at a mosque in San Diego.
While we still wait to learn more details, what we know is this is particularly frightening in a moment when rising anti-Muslim hate and the gutting of anti-hate programs leave too many at risk and afraid.
The two suspects in a Monday shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego are dead, according to a police source. The Islamic Center is the largest mosque in San Diego County, according to its website. Aerial TV footage showed more than a dozen children holding hands and being walked out of the parking lot of the center that is surrounded by scores of police vehicles.
