Nike had conditions before giving Michael Jordan a record-setting shoe contract: Either be Rookie of the Year (RotY), or average 20 points per game, or be an All-Star, or sell $4 million worth of shoes in a year.
Jordan was the Rookie of the Year, averaged 28.2 points per game, was named an All-Star, and Nike sold $100 million worth of shoes in the 1984-85 season.
Mike just doing 🐐 things
COACHES: Every single day you have to fight for the culture that you want. You have to compete for the hearts and minds of your players. You have to intentionally inspire those that you lead. It's not always easy but it will always be worth the effort.
My biggest lessons from playing Junior College baseball in Florida before transferring D1.
1) The competition of Juco baseball down in FL is spectacular. If you can make it down there, there is no reason you can’t perform on the larger stage. Be confident in that as a bandit.
2) I had just as much fun at the Juco level as the D1 level, maybe even more. The bond is different for whatever reason between teammates because no one is very entitled.
3) This route allows you to play exponentially more than a D1 freshman or sophomore and those reps translate to a High IQ player with tons of experience when you transfer over. Some D1 freshman and sophomores haven’t touched the field yet at this point at the college level.
4) Get in the weight room on your OWN time at a small school. The infrastructure probably isn’t going to be ideal with no strength coach, take some of the responsibility on yourself.
5) Do not choose a school because of facilities. Choose a coach, and a program that develops players for the next level. We did not have a locker room where I went and still pulled through 8-9 D1 commits that year from my team.
6) You are going to need to distance yourself from some people on the team who aren’t taking this opportunity as serious as you are, people will throw away a perfect opportunity very quickly and they will be most likely attending a different school as a regular student next year, don’t befriend them to be cool.
You got two years to empty the tank and get to the next level, you will never get those back. Enjoy the experience and the people.

@GhostUnfiltered@MrsTRod@joshuagates The guy who buried the treasure said another guy sent him a pic of said treasure, but won’t tell where it was and the guy who found it wants to stay anonymous 🤔🤷🏻♀️ telling the location would not give the guy away.
