I can make valid arguments for Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, Alabama, FSU, Michigan and Washington all deserving a shot. Even Oregon for that matter... but Ole Miss, OU, LSU, Louisville... certainly not Favorites going into a tournament (though each capable in any individual game).

I keep hearing when the college playoffs go to 12 teams, we will just argue about whether the 13th team deserved to be in... while true, no one outside those schools will care. The 13th best team would be a Cinderella story, not a tragedy of a team that probably deserves a shot.

@scottrlucas No one asked for my opinion, but it looks like the Rangers are committed to trying to make plays and chancing it. The Lowe throw to home. The Tavares attempt at the catch. I'd rather lose trying to win than lose trying not to lose. I love the approach.
