The centenary of the world’s very first trans-global two-way radio communication is this Friday 18 October

To commemorate this historic contact, special call signs are active, and awards and QSL cards will be available. On Friday radio amateurs will also be recreating and re-enacting the first contact between Goyder and Bell.

The GM0WHS team will be operating two radios tomorrow (Tuesday) 1215z for the first time ever! We'll be on 7.13Mhz +/- QRM and ALSO on D-Star REF001C. We're getting good operating practice in for JOTA and YOTA as well as supervisor practice for our qualified operators.
