To get past 1,700 STEM contacts with the ISS for students, it takes someone on the inside at NASA.

Our person on the inside has been Kenneth, N5VHO (and @RF2Space here). We wish him nothing but the best in retirement when he departs later this year.

FUNcube, the low Earth polar orbiting CUBE Satellite, celebrates its 11th birthday today!

Built by @AmsatUK and launched 11 years ago, it:
✔️Orbits the Earth at a height of 600km
✔️Travels at 27,360kph
✔️Takes just 96mins to complete a full orbit
✔️will have completed more than 59,400 orbits
✔️transmits real-time space data and provides excellent #STEM learning opportunities

RSGB National Radio Centre volunteer Brian, G4BIP, brought in a birthday cake to celebrate the occasion and to share with volunteers and visitors. Brian is also one of the team involved with looking after the FUNcube.
