One of the biggest mistakes made by students entering into colleges is that they think they got four years to learn and master coding.
Coding needs to be learnt right from day one because for most, what you know at the end of three years is judged by companies for recruitment. And for more hungry ones targetting very good internships, its knowledge at the end of two years.
Make it a point to learn and ace DSA and CP or Web or whichever track you chose well within two years of starting the college. And get practical experience through internship or freelancing.
You will have the world as your arena.

Stepping away from code to find design errors is another way to help students foster social-emotional skills. Stepping away from a situation can clear the mind and provide new insight into a problem or situation.
