This Memorial Day, don’t thank a Veteran, it’s not for them. We honor and thank them on Veteran’s Day.

Memorial Day is for our husbands and wives, our brothers and sisters, our moms and dads, our aunts and uncles, our sons and daughters, our friends who didn’t make it home, and to those who did but lost the battle within themselves.

Honor them.

And to me, it’s not Happy Memorial Day, for those of us remembering our fallen family and friends, there is nothing happy about it.

It’s a time for honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Be careful, be smart, and remember the ones who gave their lives so you could party so freely.
