To clarify - I'm not equating voting rights with purchasing alcohol or lottery tickets. Rather, I'm examining the logic behind voter ID requirements.

Consider this: We require ID for purchasing alcohol to prevent underage sales. We verify identity at banks to prevent fraud. We show ID to obtain driver's licenses for public safety. These are all reasonable security measures.

So the question becomes: What makes voting uniquely exempt from similar identity verification, when the integrity of our democratic process is arguably even more crucial?

@irrationalhenry @starandseen I voted today in the Bay Area. When I presented my driver’s license, they told me it’s “illegal in California” to ask a voter for ID! Yet, I’ve been asked to show my ID when I bought alcohol and a lottery ticket from 7-11 several years ago.

California is the most corrupt voting system in the US. When I voted in Glendale CA today, I refused to confirm my information was accurate, but the polling officials still had to trust me and issue a ballot. I asked the polling official to check my ID, and she simply said, “I take your word for it — it’s California.” This state is an absolute joke!! Voter ID is obviously necessary to ensure safe, secure, and verifiable elections. Never vote Dem again — MAGA!

Please share this post to expose how easy it would be to commit voter fraud in CA — the rest of the country cannot go down this same path!
