پہلے پانامہ لیکس، پھر پینڈورا پیپرز اور اب دبئی پراپرٹی لیکس ۔۔۔ پاکستانی اشرافیہ اور حکمران طبقے کی دولت و ثروت کی ہوشربا داستانیں اب بین الاقوامی اسکینڈلز کا لازمی حصہ بنتی جارہی ہیں۔ پراپرٹی لیکس کے مطابق دبئی میں 22 ہزار پاکستانیوں کی 23 ہزار جائدادوں کی مالیت کا اندازہ 12.5 ارب ڈالرز لگایا گیا ہے ۔ کیا فہرست میں شامل حکمران طبقے سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد یہ بتانا پسند کریں گے کہ ان کے پاس دبئی میں جائیداد کی خریداری کے لیے رقم کہاں سے آئی؟ یہ رقم کن ذرائع سے دبئی منتقل ہوئی؟ کیا یہ تمام جائیدادیں بروقت ایف بی آر، الیکشن کمیشن اور اسٹیٹ بینک میں ڈیکلیئر ک�� گئیں؟ سرمایہ کاری پاکستان سے باہر کیوں کی گئی؟ اگر بالفرض یہ جائیدادیں ڈیکلیئر کربھی دی گئی ہیں تو سوال یہ ہے کہ جب حکمران طبقہ ملک سے باہرسرمایہ کاری کرے گا تو پاکستان میں سرمایہ کاری کون کرے گا؟ ہمارا مطالبہ ہے کہ ایسے تمام افراد کو اب اعلیٰ عہدوں سے الگ ہونا چاہیے کیونکہ ایسے عناصر پاکستان کو سرمایہ کاری کے لئے غیر محفوظ بناتے جارہے ہیں۔ حکمرانی یہاں، سرمایہ کاری وہاں ۔۔ یہ نہیں چلے گا۔

First the Panama Leaks, then the Pandora Papers and now the Dubai Property Leaks, the stories of exponential increase and accumulation of wealth of Pakistani ruling elite seem to be now becoming a regular feature of international scandals. According to Property Leaks, the net worth of 23 thousand properties owned by 22 thousand Pakistanis in Dubai is estimated to be 12.5 billion dollars.

Whether at least the members of ruling elite would like to tell the nation about the source of their income they used to buy the Dubai properties? What are the channels through which the money was transferred to UAE? Whether the properties were declared to regulatory bodies including FBR, SBP and ECP?

Why the investment was made offshore instead of Pakistan? Suppose if the properties are properly declared and sent out through formal channels, the question still arises here is: when the rulers themselves are not ready to invest in the country and find offshore havens for safely parking their incomes, then why foreign investors will pay any heeds to their pleas to invest in Pakistan. Those at the helm of affairs must have full trust in the economic future of the country..We demand that all those (public office holders) having offshore properties must be sacked because their policies and measures are making Pakistan unconducive for investment as they have no or very little economic and financial interests in the country.
