It's going to be almost 98 degrees today in New York State, which means posts from our governor are incoming telling everyone to "set their thermostats to 78 degrees."
Our local news has been conditioning us since March to prepare for "grid outages" this summer during peak energy demand. That way, once summer arrived, it didn't sound as "strange."
Why does our governor need to tell us to ration our air conditioning?
In 2019, when the legislature and Gov. Cuomo gathered around a table to sign the Climate Act, based on nothing but virtue-signaling and lobbying from foreign corporations, they proceeded to take RELIABLE power generation OFFLINE to make way for solar and wind.
The two reactors at Indian Point Energy Center (Units 2 and 3) were taken offline. Indian Point generated roughly 2,060MW of CARBON-FREE energy annually.
Additionally, nuclear is "always on" when compared to solar and wind that's reliant on the weather in our... very cloudy and freezing cold climate.
Here's a good comparison:
2,060MW of nuclear operating at roughly a 93% capacity factor produces around 17 terawatt-hours of electricity per year.
To generate roughly the same annual energy with New York utility-scale solar (around a 13% capacity factor), you'd need 10,000–12,000MW of installed solar capacity.
In layman's terms: they took our reliable power offline to create the very "climate crisis" they told us all to fear in 2019. By creating the crisis, they were then able to sell solar and wind as the fix without anyone questioning it back in 2020 and 2021.
Fast forward five-years and we're in a situation where our grid is strained on hot days, foreign renewable corporations are destroying our grasslands, forests, and water, and @NYSERDA is dipping into ratepayers' pockets to socialize the failed rollout of their experiment that was borne out of foreign corporate boards paying a LOT of money to many of the people telling you this is all "good for you" today.
Don't fall for it when @KathyHochul tries to sell you the remedy for the very problem she's created.
New York is destroying prime farmland for solar sprawl.
First-generation farmer Alexandra Fasulo is watching land across the state get overridden by the state’s Office of Renewable Energy Siting — local zoning ignored, property values crushed, rural voices silenced.
We invited Alexandra to Washington because the Trump Administration is fighting back for her and farmers nationwide:

🚨 Prime farmland should grow food—not disappear.
Today, alongside @epaleezeldin and @johnrich , I sent a formal letter to @GovKathyHochul demanding answers about New York’s decision to fast-track industrial solar projects on some of America’s most productive farmland.
When prime farmland is lost, it’s gone forever. That’s land our farmers depend on, land that feeds our families, and land that strengthens our nation’s food security.
Governor Hochul has 30 days to explain why New York is moving away from USDA’s prime farmland standards and what it’s doing to protect these irreplaceable agricultural resources.
Under President Trump, we’re putting America’s farmers first, protecting our food supply, and preserving the land that feeds our nation.
Overriding local control, Albany politicians have massively ramped up their railroading of upstate communities, forcing them to take on the burden of far more solar farms on farmland. While in the southern tier this morning, I spoke out on behalf of the many upstate residents who are having their voices and opinions ignored and rejected by Governor Hochul and her henchmen of power hungry, out of touch Albany bureaucrats.
Another day, another ridiculous battle to destroy our farmers and their farmland.
New York’s decision to craft their own lax standards for ‘prime farmland’ to fast-track solar developments is a direct attack on American agriculture. In 2020, the exact year they stood up their Office of Renewable Energy Siting, they worked with @Cornell to downgrade soils that were long considered prime. This wasn’t an accident. It was engineered to fast-track solar projects on our best farmland.
For our farmers and ranchers, land is far more than acreage on a map. It is the ground that holds a family’s history. It is a generational heritage and legacy.
Our great ranchers and farmers feed this nation — we cannot allow prime soils to be paved over for unreliable energy that displaces our producers. Farm security is national security. @USDA stands with American agriculture, not green new deal mandates that sacrifice our farmland.
Thanks @johnrich for bringing this to our attention! We are on it.
There's a 911 in Upstate New York!! Ain't that right @GovKathyHochul ?? Kathy, why do you hate Upstate farmers so much? Let's see what America has to say about this, shall we? If you stand with American Farmers, hit REPOST. Volume UP!👇
Most members of Congress are little more than taxpayer-funded actors who get to perform in an elaborate venue, the U.S. Capitol. It’s a choreographed theatrical show that is always chasing ratings. The plot keeps getting crazier and less believable, but audiences still eat it up.
@lawler4ny@JoeSquawk You support the Inflation Reduction Act tax credits. Stop funneling taxpayer monies to out of state and foreign developers. REPEALING these tax credits is what will offer relief to New Yorkers.
@RepStefanik@AHLA As someone living in your district, I hope you stand up to REPEAL the solar subsidies within the IRA. Utility solar threatens the sustainability of our electrical grid and the wellbeing of the American people. The ITC's and PTC's need to be repealed, not phased out over 5 years.
@Alaskacryptogi1@RepThomasMassie@POTUS Exactly. @RepThomasMassie Step up and change this bill to REPEAL the solar subsidies! Utility solar threatens the sustainability of our electrical grid, and the wellbeing of the American people.
@SecretaryBurgum@POTUS Are the Investment Tax Credits under the Inflation Reduction Act being repealed?? Utility scale solar and wind projects are intermittent, unreliable & promote an unstable electrical grid, which threatens the National Security of the US & the American people.

I have long said that morons are put into key positions so the Cult can control events via the clueless morons. This guy is such a perfect example. A must watch given his official job.
The rooftop solar industry is teetering on the verge of collapse.
SunPower, one of the largest US solar companies, said it will wind down its residential installation service & stop direct sales.
It plans to cut ~1,000 out of ~3,800 total employees.
Cancer is not the problem — it is the body’s solution to a problem.
The conventional allopathic cancer treatments and protocols prevent the body from healing and only perpetuate the underlying problem that “cancer” is trying to solve.
JP Morgan forecasts building more wind, solar & electric vehicle capacity could increase oil production by 2 million barrels per day by 2030.
