@glenngabe@rustybrick Thank you for the quick response @glenngabe! I haven’t seen this yet but admittedly my eyes haven’t been on the Ecom SERPs on daily basis like they used to be.
So Google kills the Site search box, only to replace it with this imposter that shows for Branded searches (limited test of two brands) which forces you to stay in the SERP by firing a more targeted query.
ITN @rustybrick, @glenngabe ?
@JohnMu @g33konaut This may have already been asked, but is SGE simply a visual UI layer, or does it have its own “ranking” or “quality” evaluation that is different from Google Search?
@MikeBlazerX I started in agency then went in house. More often than not the large companies I worked with didn’t have a true SEO as an employee. They had someone that owned that title and was responsible for it, but that person had no deep SEO experience.
@Suzzicks Someone always knows more. Wider breadth of knowledge or shockingly deeper understanding. At TechSEO boost I was certain I was the dumbest person there (likely true). Being humble enough to admit you don’t know everything is hard.
@lilyraynyc This is an interesting topic that we are focusing on. My humble opinion is that it will be more important than ever to CLEARLY communicate expertise in your specific topic area. GPT seems to lose value as the topic gets more niche or nuanced.
Things you learn at SEO conferences that are common among SEO teams around the world:
- PPC often gets 10x the budget or more than SEO for the same client
- Clients love ordering SEO audits and not implementing much, then trying another SEO audit with someone else
