Ring that ๐!!
Official time - 4:29:58 ๐ฅณ
Pain in quad tendon after 23km, calves wanted to cramp from 28km onwards but that ultimate target of a 4:30 finish was NOT slipping away from me ๐ฎโ๐จ
@LiveAction Surrogacy is illegal in Norway. The woman carrying the baby has all rights to keep it, even if it's not officially for her. So they protect the "buyer" and banned it
@RaceMatcher Knee seems to have held up, so fingers crossed ๐ค PB is 18:43 so this gave me a huge confidence boost! I've got a 10k on June 20th and then a marathon in September. Changing jobs this month which will open up time for strength training to finally sort my knee out

Sub-20 was the goal, with VERY little training and basically no speed work as still fighting the knee on and off ๐ฎโ๐จ the wind was also horrendous!
Overall, very happy and gives me hope for the races still to come ๐
A little look at the stats ๐
105th / 2460
Average HR - 200.
Peak HR - 220 (I wore a chest strap, but this might be off. I was working definitely hard but normally 209-210 is my max)
Average pace - 3:53

No. More. Silent. Bans.
All positive tests and provisional suspensions stemming from any race, NGO, NADO, or @wada_ama should be announced within 30 days of the result.
Why is this so hard to adopt. Truly, I don't understand.
Nothing heroic. Just building back after 2 1/2 months of knee injury.
It's still ever so slightly present, but I'm at least able to run easy on it to re-build the mileage ๐ Lungs are still there for easy stuff, not daring to push anything faster yet
@taggartvanetten@JohnGoldman The slipping is my biggest issue. Our snow turns to ice pretty quick and I've almost slipped a couple times just walking. I'm having to use the treadmill for the foreseeable because of the ice. Normal ground but pouring rain, that's an outdoor run
@jcrew_eth@BasilTheGreat You're right that immigration can be a good thing, and it's good to have a blend of cultures. But what's not good is when there's a load of illegal immigrants who take everything for free and try to change the culture of the country they now live in instead of adapting themselves
