@Mangan150@GuruAnaerobic I've shifted a good portion of my energy to learn into language and the arts. Playing an instrument is applied learning. Speaking a new language is an attempt to insert yourself into that culture. Both are incredible experiences that are little affected by AI.
I don't add bananas to my smoothies.
Why?
Not because bananas are bad (I love bananas). They contain polyphenol oxidase, an enzyme that can break down polyphenols. And studies suggest that when you add banana to a blueberry smoothie, you may absorb fewer of the beneficial polyphenols from the berries!
So instead, I use avocado. It gives the smoothie the same creamy texture with the bonus of monounsaturated fat in avocado, which can increase absorption of carotenoids like lutein and zeaxanthin from kale - nutrients important for eye and brain health.
I talked about this recently on my appearance on The Mel Robbins Podcast.
This is hands down the single best piece of running gear I own.
Naked Belt
Fits a phone, gels, even a small-ish water bottle and feels like you’re wearing nothing at all.
@ud9304@ethanlculver Unfortunately, that’s true. It’s a close call to say which is worse, arson or plain stupidity.
Final numbers for the day: Human 35, Natural38, Undetermined 21, Total 94.
That’s a lot of human error.
@ud9304@ethanlculver Of the 28 new fires reported July 16, Canada classified 15 as human-caused, eight as natural and five as undetermined.

@AliBrownleetri The studies on tropical sleep duration comparing winter and summer temperatures are on point. Slight increases in overnight temperatures during the tropical summer result in less sleep at night and more naps during the day.
Rough body-weight scaling comparing rats to humans (using the commonly cited rat LD₅₀ of ~42 mg/kg and my approximate weight of ~90 kg):
~3.78 g (3,780 mg) of pure cholecalciferol would likely be a lethal dose. That’s 151 million IU!!!
Even this is a crude estimate though—humans seem to be less sensitive per kg than rats, and actual human toxic/lethal doses are probably even higher.
@JimmyJGreen@stevemagness Also, it is highly unlikely to be the formula for longevity in sport. I could see this being effective in periodized training. During the competitive season, you follow this diet, but not year-round.
The second study also shows a synergy when combining the two. “This clinical trial deduced that the combined daily use of L-arginine with tadalafil therapy for elderly male patients with ED could significantly increase the SHIM scores and levels of total testosterone in comparison to L-arginine, or tadalafil alone.”
@ChrisMasterjohn The first study you cite combined both. “This study aimed to evaluate the effect of daily oral l-arginine plus tadalafil in diabetic patients with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction.”
