Eighteen days have passed, and for students, every day away from their classrooms has its own weight. Studies are on hold, plans are delayed, yet we continue to stand for what we believe is right.

Sometimes, the hardest part is not standing in protest, it is not knowing whether anyone is listening. Thirteen days away from our classrooms and five days into a chain hunger strike, we are still left asking: whom are we protesting to, and who is listening to the students?

Yet, hope keeps us standing. We believe that our efforts will not go unheard, that someone will recognise the weight of what students are going through, and that a just and formal resolution remains possible. Behind every student here are years of study, sacrifice, expectations and dreams. We continue not because the wait is easy, but because we still believe it is worth waiting for a fair response.

Four days into the chain hunger strike, the students remain composed but deeply disappointed. Twelve days should be enough for students to be heard. Their time, education and future matter. We continue to seek a formal written response and a clear resolution through peaceful and lawful means.

A Saddening Day

CHAIN HUNGER STRIKE

Tonight, at 10:30 PM, students commenced the chain hunger strike as part of the ongoing peaceful movement of Forestry students.
