Today, I'm announcing that I'm running for the United States Senate.
I'm a fifth-generation Kansan. My family came here 147 years ago and settled in a town called Hope.
I'm running because Kansas — and our country — deserve better than what Washington has been giving us. We need leaders who put service above self, country before party, and people before politics.
I'm an independent-minded Democrat. I’ll lead by listening. And I'll be a champion for Kansas.

A tip from a lineman working storm outages: “When your power comes back on, flip your porch light on. It helps us see that your power has been restored without having to stop and check every meter. A little time saved goes a long way.”
Mark Robinson & my opponent would reject federal funding for our schools. No other state has done that.
NC was first in flight & first in business. We shouldn't be first to reject federal funds. Our teachers rely upon it to educate the next generation.

@mogreenfornc emphasizes that the need for a strong public education system, goes beyond party affiliation.
He said regardless of personal choices, like where parents send their children to school, a robust public education system benefits everyone in the community.

My deep hope is that North Carolina will choose an experienced school leader over an election denier.
But I need your help to keep sharing the stakes of this election.
If you can chip in, you’ll help us share our vision with voters across NC: https://t.co/Oet5nNjUyV
Having been a lifelong educator, this continues to sadden, disappoint, and frighten me. NC is known as the beacon of light in the South for its public education system… and while there is more to do to ensure every child can reach their full potential, she cannot be our leader.
Everything I do in education is in honor of my mother. She grew up dirt poor - her house’s floor was literally dirt - and education gave her opportunity.
Educators have a noble calling to help our children. I look forward to seeing many of you soon: https://t.co/f7gbLMuW1u
