On July 8, 2020, the Jamaica Labour Party @jlpjamaica celebrated 77 years since it’s founding in 1943. As the Party continues to demonstrate its commitment to education, we also celebrated the renewal of the Jamaica Labour Party Scholarship Programme.

This year we are of offering 4 scholarships in honor of past Ministers who served in the administration of the Jamaica Labour Party. We believe education is the most powerful force for personal and national transformation and that is why this scholarship fund was established.

Last week our scholarship recipients attended their orientation to be the first batch of volunteers in the HOPE Programme.
We have every confidence that they will distinguish themselves as volunteers as they have in their academic life.

Recently Prime Minister Holness, Chairman of the JLP Edu Fund made a donation of $1,500,000 to @UTechJamaica to assist students who may be at risk of being de-registered due to non-payment of fees. He made a further donation of $1,000,000 from his @PositiveJamaic1 foundation.
