@yshkwal It was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at some people's luggage. The invigilators were laughing too!

@RoughBook01@theicai Padhai kar rahi hoon buddy, but today I felt so sad when my whole family went to vote without me. It's really disheartening! Just wanted it to express it to my fellow CA Students who are going through the same.

One of my friend who is from this city has already arranged a room which is near by old centre.
But now he has to travel 6 km away from his room to reach centre in this hot summer.

Imagine that you are googling desperately to get more facts about a certain topic and you give up because there is simply no information available. Then you discover one day that one of your own relatives (whom you have met a couple of times at social events) has been researching on the very same topic for years and collected a huge amount of data. But now, he is no more and all his research is lying in printed documents, photos and hard disks in his house. This was my situation in 2019.
Some of you might remember my article on Hanuman worship which was popularized by Madhvacharya long before Goswami Tulsidas came on the scene and how Guru Vyasatirtha consecrated 732 temples to Hanuman in different parts of southern India. Here is the link if you havenโt read it: https://t.co/jECdy0Wcy9 The distinctive depiction of Hanuman in the temples is that of Veera Hanuman as opposed to the Ramabhakta Hanuman; in other words the fierce aspect of the deity who is needed to protect the land. There are special features which devotees use to identify the Anjaneya (Hanuman) motif consecrated by Vyasaraya such as the tail which goes around the head with a bell at the end.
From Google, all I could gather was that some 200 of those special temples had been identified, which I mentioned in my article. However, as soon as my article was published, one person commented that this was wrong information since a person called Gowdagere Vijaya Kumar had identified more than 400 temples and even held exhibitions showcasing their photos. The name rang a bell. My father has Gowdagere in his name. On investigating, I found that GVK was none other than my 2nd cousin, who I knew had passed away in 2012. It was a moment of shame for me that I had been unaware of the great man's relentless research and I had not even tried to converse with him beyond a namaskara each time I met.
In November 2019, I finally caught up with his wife Leela Vijaya Kumar (and son Vinay) who showed me a list of the 400+ Hanuman temples that GVK had personally visited with a photographer friend. Before he passed away in 2012, he travelled over 45,000 km to document 525 Hanuman vigrahas with the distinctive features that indicated their connection with Vyasatirtha. He died before he could finish his book on the project. Though he was honoured posthumously by Vysaraya Matha, the government did not confer any recognition.
Before GVK set out to find the special Hanuman temples, no one really knew exactly where they were on the map. He drove from village to village in southern India asking people if there was any Hanuman temple and then checked out all those temples to see if any of them had the vigrahas he was looking for. It was a painstaking exercise that only great explorers can undertake. Sometimes, when he drove through a village, he would feel a strong pull in a certain direction which would lead him straight to the right Hanuman temple!
How I wish at least one of the museums in Karnataka could feature exhibits on the Hanuman vigrahas that GVK worked so hard to identify.
A focused student, logged out from emails, social media etc. reaching the exam centre according to the admit card and realised that exam centre has been changed....
