Life is purely about suffering for men because life is purely about status as a man. You can harp on about spiritual metaphors and perspectives all you want but unless you have cash flow, social skills, work ethic, a high IQ and a fantastic physique as a man your life is going to be very mediocre. You can deny this truth all you want but you'll be forced to face it at some point. Why not do it now. Despite genetic gifts you have to continually grind with daily effort to drag and claw yourself forward even by an inch, as a man one of your best bets is falling in love with the work and genuinely enjoying exhausting yourself doing the right things, if you have an attitude that work is something you have to do, you're born to lose and you're going go get crushed into the dirt by men who do nothing but apply pressure, who do nothing but train, work, think, consume, apply and reflect. In order to get to the highest level in any game it has to be such an intrinsic desire for you to progress you completely disconnect from the process and the hours spent in the middle of the war because you love the weight of your weapon and how it feels to reload it. Sharpening your mind is the activity that will pay the greatest dividends in my experience, pay attention to what is around you, work diligently and forcefully day after day to steal more small victories. They add up.
Your potential should fucking terrify you. Not because it's out of reach. But because it's there for the taking. You've seen glimpses. In the rare moments you actually go all in. And deep down, you know what would happen if you stopped playing small and gave it everything. That's the scary part. Not failure. But the fact that you're capable of so much more. It's like owning a Ferrari and refusing to take it out of first gear. And every day you don't act on it, you feel it. Quietly. Heavily. Like a life you were supposed to live is waiting for you to show up. So show the fuck up.
You are admired only when you win. Until then, you are tolerated at best, mocked at worst, and invisible in between. This is the law of existence: success or contempt. The world does not pity the unsuccessful man, it condemns him.
This is my greatest fear. I know what I am capable of achieving, and I have seen people around me who are extremely talented, brilliant and had so much potential, yet they did not live up to their expectations.
If only they had taken life a little bit more seriously and were intentional about what they did every day, they’d have had a better life.
I don’t want to look back one day realising I could have been better if only I pushed harder. My philosophy in life is to sieze every moment like it’s the only shot I’ll ever have and make the most of it so that if I ever have to look back, given similar conditions, there should be really nothing within my power I could have done better.
stop letting your potential go to waste because you don't feel confident or ready enough. people with half your talent are making serious waves while you're still waiting to feel ready.
