@i8_2_l8@Jagex@OldSchoolRS@JagexEd Appreciate it, but as long as the rewards are tradable then I can acquire the seeker arrows on my alt and trade to my 1 def.
@TheoryWiseOS Play whichever one clicks better with you. There are a few pvm moments where fixed does have issues, large bosses that have text over their head can be difficult to see. As long as you aren’t playing full screen on a 32”+ monitor and have to drag super far either setting is fine.
@XarovRs I don't really run cox/cm solos very much, but in teams after bringing soulflame horn and a buddy brings zgs, muttadile became much more consistent and enjoyable room, even in cms. I just wish the soulflame horn could be right click used on who I want to give the effect to.
I’ve done over 500 tobs and 30+ hmts on a cb lvl 78 account. If I can find teams, most people should be able to find a team.
I prefer to raid with everyone having discord, but if someone’s got 300kc and knows the raid- I don’t make it a hard requirement to raid. However if someone wants to learn and people are taking the time out of their day to teach them, the least a person can do is join a voice chat so we can tell them if they are doing something incorrectly.
@cartwheel73@smol_jordan@PortKhazard Eldrich staff can boost up to 120 prayer points on my 45 prayer acc, not sure if higher prayer levels can boost higher than that. It does take a couple of specs to get it that high though.
@halsgenein@aedison Hs8s are great for neutral sound/mixing, but I found adding the subwoofer is good for listening to music and doesn’t make them sound as “stale”.
Depends on the content. For a specific skill, ~90 gives you a general idea how the skill is going to go. If someone says “slayer needs MASSIVE CHANGES NOW.” And you look and they are 60 slayer. Buddy you haven’t even trained the skill.
For raids, if I see someone having “big raid changes needed” and I check that they are 20kc at a raid, it shows they want to speak more than they want to listen. 300-500kc (on the specific raid) is an amount that if someone has spent a decent amount of time there that they aren’t a brand new player suggesting dramatic changes. At that point I respect their opinion even if I disagree with them.
For a boss, going drop rate for an item gives a pretty good idea of how it’s going to go. Someone makes a Reddit post of “these drops need to be more common!” You check and they’re 13kc at the boss. Interesting.
Having an opinion at the boss is different than thinking a boss should be changed. I have 3kc at kreearra on my main account that is 1 defence. It is fair for me to say “I do not enjoy this boss.” But if I were to say “this boss should be changed due to my negative experience at it.” Would not be a fair complaint due to me not spending enough time at it. Having an opinion at a boss is fine with 0kc, but if someone’s going to suggest massive changes without spending a good enough amount of time there, they are probably going to receive pushback on it.
While I do think salvaging xp rates were a bit too generous, I think the things they did right with the skill are more than what they did wrong. I know quite a few people in my clan that aren’t EHP people that are between 15-20m sailing xp doing various activities they didn’t try on the 1-99 grind, aiming for collection logs, etc. with Agility/Rc/Mining/quite a few other skills, many people hit 99 and don’t touch it for months/years. While the xp to 99 is a bit expedited, there is already content to do after reaching 99.
I think that we should have some slow burn skills like agility/mining/rc. I really enjoyed them and would really love if they added a 20-30k xp/hr to separate the boys from the men, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong for them to release a faster skill, especially with the controversy surrounding its release.
Was thinking about raids 4 yesterday, if they really want it to be good non-slop content it should be-
1. Base mode on difficulty of Cox CM/Tob where one person dies P1 verzik and didn’t drop supplies on the ground.
2. Never should be less efficient to run with more capable teammates.
3. Roles should be encouraged, have benefits that can be used from all spellbooks for certain parts of each raid.
4. It being soloable should be significantly harder than doing it with a capable team.
5. Not give any items intended for low level ironmen so they see it as a necessary mid level requirement and instead is viewed as something to go for after getting well geared from the first three raids.
Personally, I don’t even care what the loot is on raids 4, I just want some good team content to sink my teeth into.
I’m definitely more conservative with osrs changes, but my concerns were largely solved with the alpha testing of the boat not being terrible to use, and then other updates to skilling being decent (not forestry). It doesn’t feel perfect, but it is way closer to good than it is to bad. I look forward to trying it.
My theory on puzzles ruining the raid- crabs/nylos both have ways to be able to do them better/faster and you have the ability to get better at them over time. I enjoy doing them with a team that knows what they are doing. Crabs can also be started without everyone in the room. The TOA puzzles suck because everyone has to be in the waiting room to start the puzzle. The more I do nylos the more I learn the rotations and can be proactive at it compared to reactive like the TOA monkey prep room.
I don’t think raids puzzles are inherently bad, but TOA has way too many of them and they don’t inspire me to want to get better at them. A thought I’ve had is that if the 1st and 3rd boss of the raid you do the puzzle, the 2nd and 4th you go straight to the boss.
I also think that toa scaling monsters defense levels with raid level makes it feel artificially harder than it would if mechanics became more interesting. The removal of the defence scaling on kephri minions was a good change in my opinion.
@shmegmoid The audacity of a girl not just trying to control her man, but to overextend and control his friends is completely unreasonable. Your friend might want to check if mental disabilities run in her family, she might be undiagnosed with something.
If you’re maxed melee/range/mage, hit up chambers to get the upgrade prayers, rigor/augury make a huge difference, although less so after royal titan prayers.
I’ve seen a lot of irons rocking the scorching bow as well, might not have the accuracy for solo bandos, but still usable in team raids.
Also, going for ACB or DHCB/Tbow are all very good range weapons. There’s a lot more options that a person can use compared to what there was a few years ago. The thought of “I can’t start late game pvm until I get a bowfa” just makes the game less fun instead of using what other options are provided now to help alleviate a higher rng grind.
You don’t like the argument because it’s true and you can’t argue against it.
Jagex has made the grind much easier for irons, they made the royal titans prayers so you don’t have to grind chambers before going for Bowfa, they made the atl-atl which is a much shorter grind and usable in raids as well.
