Dickinson’s Troy Berg is an NSIC Champion with Augustana baseball, but he’s still leaning into the things he learned while playing for Dickinson High School

@MavericksBSB
Great start to the season as we picked up a 77-71 road win against a gritty West Fargo Packer team!! We have a quick turnaround tomorrow against the Horace Hawks!!

The biggest excuse from parents is "The coach took away my son's/daughter's confidence." Confidence can neither be taken nor given. Players earn the right to be confident by the work they put in on their own. Get them a hoop and a ball, not excuses.#coachingdevotionals
Verse of the day! Find your peace today.
Phil 4:6-7
“Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.
“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.”
In Colossians, Paul starts off saying “We always pray for you” (vs.3)… I was just thinking of trying to let people know that I was praying and thinking of them. Because I know if someone said that to me, I think it would make me feel happy and encourage me.
@CollinRugg@stephenasmith Why is this beneath the president? Why does SA think the sports world should be untouched and left alone?
ITS SIMPLE:
Don’t do anything illegal and you won’t have to worry about things like this. These guys get paid MILLIONS to play a game. How much is enough?
On one hand it’s super hypocritical to speak against it and say it’s wrong, but then go get a G league player… on the other hand… it’s allowed… and if they don’t do it someone else will... and it could cost them their jobs.
How’d we get here?!
@NCAA
I feel so conflicted with what’s happening in the NCAA. Teams are now allowed to go and get guys from the G-League… which is insane. But then you have coaches who speak out against it, yet go get G-League guys.
@ChrisYBaldwin lol I guess rules are rules… but it’s funny to me that he’s speaking out against the direction if basketball, yet goes out and tries to sign a G league player… great job being a “guardian.”
We have generally lost the plot of what college and the G-League were for.
If you chose to go to the G-League and didn’t turn that into an NBA spot & NBA money, you probably aren’t good enough to earn that.
You shouldn’t then be allowed to take $ & opportunities from someone who made the smart choice out of HS and went to college.
Houston coach Kelvin Sampson on state of the game: "We're still in an educational institution, but there is nothing educational about college basketball right now. It's all transactional. And we all put our heads in the sand." Sampson, Tom Izzo + John Calipari are speaking out."
