In 1947, children could order a toy containing real radioactive material from the back of a Kix cereal box for just 15 cents and a box top.

The Lone Ranger Atomic Bomb Ring contained a tiny amount of polonium-210, allowing kids to look through a lens and watch real radioactive particles create flashes of light.

Although the amount used was considered safe when sealed inside the ring, it contained the same radioactive element later used to poison Alexander Litvinenkoin 2006.

Today, the rings are no longer radioactive enough to produce the glowing effect.

Receive Communion on the tongue, kneeling if possible.

Whatever Mass you attend this is a fitting way to receive His Majesty, King of the Universe. To receive the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord in this manner, as a child fed by a loving Father, is one small way of renewing reverence for Our Lord’s Eucharistic presence.

How to Pray Like the Saints (Even If You Feel Spiritually Dry)

Most Catholics don’t struggle because they don’t love God.

They struggle because they don’t know how to pray consistently.

The saints weren’t saints because they always felt close to God.

They became saints because they remained faithful even when prayer felt dry, distracted, or difficult.

If you want a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, follow this simple Catholic rule of life.

1. Begin in God’s Presence

Make the Sign of the Cross slowly.

Remember whose presence you are entering.

“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

Leave behind your worries and offer this time entirely to God.

2. Read Sacred Scripture

Spend 10–15 minutes with the Bible.

A great place to begin is:

The Gospel of the day
One Psalm
A chapter from the Gospels

Don’t read merely to finish.

Read to listen.

Ask:

What is God revealing?
What does He want me to change?
How can I live this today?

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

3. Speak to God From Your Heart

Prayer is not a performance.

Speak to God honestly.

Praise Him.
Thank Him.
Repent of your sins.
Ask for His grace.
Pray for your family, friends, the Church, and the whole world.

Then…

Stop talking.

Listen.

4. Embrace Sacred Silence

Many saints taught that God often speaks in silence.

Spend at least five minutes quietly in His presence.

No phone.

No distractions.

Just you and Christ.

5. Pray the Holy Rosary Every Day

If there is one devotion that has transformed countless saints, popes, and ordinary Catholics, it is the Holy Rosary.

As you meditate on the mysteries with Our Lady, your heart is gradually conformed to Jesus Christ.

St. Padre Pio called the Rosary “the weapon for these times.”

6. Receive the Sacraments Frequently

Prayer reaches its highest expression in the sacramental life.

Whenever possible:

Attend Holy Mass frequently.
Receive Holy Communion worthily.
Go to Confession regularly.

The Eucharist is not merely a symbol.

It is Jesus Christ Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

The saints drew their strength from Him.

7. Read the Saints

Spend a few minutes each day reading the lives or writings of the saints.

They show us what the Gospel looks like when it is lived completely.

Learn from:

St. Augustine
St. Thérèse of Lisieux
St. Teresa of Avila
St. Francis de Sales
St. John Paul II
St. Padre Pio

8. Practice One Virtue Every Day

Prayer should transform your character.

Choose one virtue to practice intentionally:

• Humility
• Charity
• Patience
• Purity
• Forgiveness
• Obedience
• Generosity

Holiness is built one act of love at a time.

9. End Every Day With an Examination of Conscience

Before bed:

Thank God.

Review your day.

Repent sincerely.

Ask for the grace to do better tomorrow.

Trust completely in God’s mercy.

The saints were not superhuman.

They were ordinary men and women who allowed God’s grace to transform them through daily fidelity.

You don’t become holy overnight.

You become holy one prayer…
one confession…
one Rosary…
one Holy Communion…
one act of charity…

…one faithful day at a time.

“Pray without ceasing.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

If you begin today and persevere, God will do in you what He has done in every saint before you: He will make you holy.
