@Barbara31348920@CatholicCat8 In true charity, I would request that you retract this post. It can only serve to lead others to error. The catechism is clear on this. The last line of CCC 1385 states “Anyone conscious of a grave sin must receive the sacrament of Reconciliation before coming to communion.”
Christ is risen from the dead, and with him, we too rise to new life! This Easter proclamation embraces the mystery of our lives and the destiny of history, reaching us even in the depths of death. #Easter

Our country has failed because we have centered ourselves on the political rather than on Jesus Christ.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given:
and the government will be upon his shoulder,
and his name will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
Wishing a most blessed and joyous Christmas to you and your families!
@SteveSkojec Find encouragement in Psalm 73 @SteveSkojec . Came up in my prayer this morning, and provides a very appropriate response to your question.
The three monks and the devil—
The devil appeared to three monks and said to them: if I give you power to change something of the past, what would you change?
The first of them, with great apostolic fervor answered: “I would prevent you from causing Adam and Eve to fall into sin so that mankind would not turn away from God.”
The second, a man full of mercy, said to him, “I would keep you from turning away from God and condemning yourself forever.”
The third of them was the simplest and instead of answering the temptor, he got down on his knees, made the sign of the cross and prayed, “Lord, deliver me from the temptation of what might have been and was not.”
The devil, yelling and twitching in pain vanished. The other two, shocked, said, “Brother, why did you react like that?”
He answered them, “First: we must NEVER dialogue with evil.
Second: NO ONE in the world has the power to change the past.
Third: Satan’s INTEREST was not to test our virtue, but to get caught in the past, so that we neglect the present moment, the only time when God gives us His grace and we can cooperate with it to do His will."
Of all the devils, the one that catches men the most and keeps them from being happy is the one of "what could have been and it wasn't." The past is at the Mercy of God and the future lies at the hands of His Providence.
Only the present is in our hands.
It’s remarkable how many times God calls us to joy, particularly in the New Testament.
Joy is not an emotion; Happiness is an emotion.
Joy as a conviction to think, act and talk in such a way that shows we recognize the victory has already been won.
God has redeemed suffering.
God has conquered sin and death.
He has made his victory our victory and so we are unconquerable because of Him Who Loves us.
When we embrace this truth and live out of it, we are people of joy who are not enslaved to fear.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the days of battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host,
by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
The Holy Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, & Raphael
Today, the Church celebrates the feast of the Holy Archangels - Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. They remind us that God is personally involved in our lives, sending His heavenly messengers to guide, protect, and strengthen us.
St. Michael (Who is like God?) is the warrior of heaven. In Revelation 12:7–8, we see him leading the angels in battle against the dragon. Michael reminds us that evil never has the last word and that God defends His people. When we call on him, we ask for courage in our spiritual battles.
St. Gabriel (God is my strength) is the messenger of salvation. In Luke 1:26–28, Gabriel announces to Mary that she will bear the Son of God. He reminds us that God still speaks today through His Word and Spirit. When we invoke Gabriel, we pray for openness to God’s plan and the strength to say “yes” as Mary did.
St. Raphael (God heals) is the companion and healer. In Tobit 12:14–15, he reveals himself as one of the seven angels who stand before God, sent to heal Tobit’s blindness and guide Tobias. He reminds us that God cares for our journeys and our wounds. Calling on Raphael, we seek God’s healing of body, mind, and soul.
In the Bible you’ll hear of many nameless angels, but only three are named: Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. The reason why the Church honours only these three by name because they are explicitly revealed in Scripture. This protects us from speculation or superstition, also keeping our devotion rooted in God’s Word.
Friends, the Archangels are signs of God’s loving care. Michael assures us of protection, Gabriel of God’s presence, and Raphael of healing. Together, they teach us that in every battle, every decision, and every wound, heaven is near.
St. Michael, defend us in times of battle. St. Gabriel, strengthen us with God’s word. St. Raphael, heal and guide us.
Holy Archangels, lead us always to Christ, our true light and our salvation. Amen.
What the hell are people listening to or reading that has made so many so vicious, so fearful, so unashamedly disgusting in the way they talk about other humans?
When did it become acceptable to type the awful things we type to each other or about people?
Each of you are filled with the dignity of the Living God.
Whether I like your politics or would die fighting them, I belong to you and you to me.
We belong to God.
God hungers to rescue us from our self destructive ways, but we we fill our lives with noise & we are prideful; we don’t like to be corrected.
How can we hear His voice when our heads and hearts are filled with the voices of men and women who affirm what we so desperately want to be true?
Sit in quiet with Him today.
Let Him love you. Let Him save you.

Saints Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis are an invitation to all of us, especially young people, not to squander our lives, but to direct them upwards and make them masterpieces. https://t.co/aXAe9fjN35
Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
To whom his love commits me here;
Ever this day be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide. From sinful stain O keep me free, at the hour of my death my helper be.
While we were killing Him, He was dying for us.
This is Love and it is worth any and all sacrifice.
It is a mystery of Love we must celebrate, mourn and imitate.

“It is true that the creature loves less because she is less. But if she loves with her whole being, nothing is lacking where everything is given.”
-St. Bernard of Clairvaux
Thank you, Father, for giving me the ability to love.
Thank you accepting the little love I give and treasuring it.
I am Yours, You are mine.
Amen

When ordered to deliver the treasures of the Church to the Prefect of Rome; St. Lawrence presented the indigent, the crippled, the blind, and the suffering, and declared that these were the true treasures of the Church.
