@texasrunnerDFW If the government isn’t going to balance a budget so they only spend what they take in, then no tax is necessary on anything. Just let them print what they need (which they do anyway).
they grew up,” you know a totally rational response.

“Well, [child’s name] some people speak English in a proper way, and other people speak it with more of an accent, so they sound more improper. But they still know what English is supposed to sound like.”
Overheard the most Connecticut conversation at the hotel breakfast this morning. Mother, early 40s, with daughter, both educated and polite based on the brief waffle-iron interaction we had. Server comes by and an unrelated third party mentions they like the server’s accent. 🧵
Daughter, probably 9, asks, “mom, when we hear other people speak with an accent, do they think we have an accent too?”

@KingCG_IT@callahanishere compared to TnT, there is far less variance in Vivi lists. But, it’s a deck that is built off a specific commander ability. TnT instead has a huge list of cards. @micah_erfan@TAftermath2020 Ok, and would that bill have fixed the Garrymandering in California, Colorado, New York, and several other states, or would if have just pulled the ladder up behind them?
@realmaddox I listened to NPR for years. Their bias shows up in what stories they cover, and who they interview about them. The tone is mundane, but listen to a story they tell about something you’re an expert on and it will be clear they are leaving things out. It’s always one direction.
@callahanishere@MTGCal So discourage turtling up by disincentivizing playing for a draw. If draws cost the players points in a tournament instead of gaining points, you would incentivize going for it. I agree that banning cards won’t help, but it’s the tournament rules/format that breaks things.
@2uHipHop@callahanishere Hold up - what are you talking about? Nobody is drawing a card in a proposed draw situation. Somebody is presenting a win, and somebody else can stop it, but doesn’t want to because they know somebody else will win.
