Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has unveiled a gallows inside a newly completed death-row wing at a prison in central occupied Palestine, designed to execute Palestinian prisoners.

The facility includes viewing booths for families of Israelis killed in attacks to watch the executions, turning the planned killing of Palestinians into a public spectacle.

The death penalty law was passed by the Knesset in March and later extended to West Bank military courts. With Israel’s election just weeks away, Ben-Gvir is turning the execution of Palestinians into an electoral campaign promise.
