עידן הקרח - לראשונה מאז 1986 ובפעם הראשונה אי פעם, בצפון הארץ - נצפה בישראל ברווז קרח, שלא נראה בארץ, 40 שנה.

אתמול (שישי), מצא הצפר גיא שביט, ברווז קרח נקבה, במאגר קולחין, הסמוך לקיבוץ הגושרים, שבצפון עמק החולה.

בחסות הפסקת האש, צפרים רבים נהרו היום (שבת) לאזור, שרק יממה קודם, היה תחת אש כבדה מלבנון, וצפו באורחת הנדירה.

"ברווז הקרח, דוגר בחוג הקוטב הצפוני. אזור החריפה הקבוע שלו, הוא צפון אירופה וצפון אמריקה", מסביר ד"ר יואב פרלמן, מנהל מרכז הצפרות, בחברה להגנת הטבע.

בחברה להגנת הטבע, מסבירים כי הוא נצפה בישראל חמש פעמים בעבר, בין 1979 ל - 1986, כולן באילת ומאז לא נראה בישראל, 40 שנה, עד אתמול.

The local Eagle Owl male, such a cool bird. I have known this guy for 10 years now, he is a classic "Aharoni" Eagle Owl, showing integrate features between the Northern Eagle Owls and the southern birds. Rather small, very pale and the eyes are pale orange, a beauty!

A video of a missile hitting a Palestinian village nearby, sent by a dear friend. Several more were intercepted but one hit, luckily no one got hurt.

🚨 As an Israeli citizen I would like to send a message to those of you who follow after the situation here.

You may have heard that 50 Israeli women and children hostages are set to be freed from Hamas this week. It's crucial to understand that this release isn't an act of kindness or a sudden moral shift on Hamas' end. These terrorists are currently using 240 men, women, and children as bargaining chips.

After 46 days of a measured military response in the Gaza Strip, Hamas has been compelled to play its hand. Now, we find ourselves in a 4-day pause in Gaza, a component of the deal Israel negotiated for the release of these hostages. In the upcoming days, there will be significant pressure on Israel to extend this pause and refrain from military action.

It's essential to emphasize that, without the military advantage gained in recent weeks, Hamas wouldn't have released our citizens. Without a continued military response, we risk abandoning 200 hostages to a grim fate. Israel remains unwavering in its commitment to leaving no one, man, woman, or child, behind. The fight for their freedom continues.
