@NannanBay Political whim, because they weren't doing what they were meant to do? What makes you think the Voice would have been any different? Career bureaucrats and political opportunists were salivating.
@NareldaJacobs10 wake up and recognise Langton for the divisive relic she is. Hatred of the white man is not the way forward. Mundine is right - we're one country.
@warhammer You said you were planning to have The Lion available in time for Leviathan launch. Has that changed? Will there be a more equitable way to order the model than competing with bots and scalpers?
Talkback radio callers have demanded an end to βboomer bashingβ. Who is listening to talkback radio apart from boomers? π§ https://t.co/RCxhOVwWmz
@ManaCurves What you say is true but it isn't the whole story. People can legitimately not like the creative interpretation of the character for reasons other than racism. This doesn't mean there aren't racists, but I get that Twitter is generally for cheerleading, not reasoned argument.
@Dakuraigun@wizards_magic True, but people are also free to dislike the interpretation and say why. The hordes of outrage-confectioners and clout-chasers shrieking 'racist' at anyone who dares express a negative opinion is itself quite sickening.
@wizards_magic That art is awful. Character should be brighter and more visible. I get that the focus is on the sword but just looks so unbalanced and murky.
@ElroyFudge@CatchUpFeed Assuming equal numbers of white and black morons, the black morons are more noticeable because more of them are belligerent. They are conditioned that they can get away with it due to playing the race card. White moron acts up and there's no excuse.
@warhammer what's the story with Lion El'Jonson? No release date when announced and now I find it was only available briefly online for pre-order? How does one get this model? When?
@Scholastic say it straight: did you or did you not consult R. L. Stine on edits to his works? If not, regardless of legalities, you have done something morally reprehensible. You need to respond to this issue now.
@PuffinBooks whether or not your Roald Dahl changes are 'minor' it is the literary equivalent of gluing a fig leaf on Michelangelo's David. This is vandalism. Shame on you. #BoycottPuffinBooks
@GaryNunn1 Curious about the 'breach of etiquette' - what happens if you are writing independently or for a small outlet and have Buckley's of getting invited to review anything? Did they only ask you to pull the review because it was for a larger publisher?
Great article by @ElizabethFlux https://t.co/8uyoydT5kf
Diversity of opinion should be encouraged but restricting the expression of opinion to those with the right 'credentials' is rather dystopian.
